Norfolke Dukedom.

SIR Saloman Swaile reports from the Committee to whom the Bill for Restitution of Thomas Earl of Arundel, Surry, and Norfolke, to the Dignity and Title of Duke of Norfolke, was referred, the said Bill, in the Form as it was sent down and committed, without any Alteration.

Resolved, That the said Bill be now read the Third time.

And it was read the Third time accordingly:

And on the Question put, That the said Bill do pass;

Disbanding the Army.

Sir William Doyly reports from the Commissioners for disbanding the Army, the state of Money received, paid, and still owing; and what is necessary to be further supplied towards disbanding the Army, and paying off the Navy, and other Charges relating thereunto; and also the Product of the Bill for Poll Money; being as followeth; viz.

By the Sum of 36,907£. 19s. 8d. being so much received of the Sum of 63,292£. 10s. 10d. directed by several Orders of Parliament to be assigned by Sir Thomas Player out of the Three Months Assessments, commencing the Twenty-fourth of June 1660; the Remainder of the said Sum, viz. 26,384£. 11s. 2d. is yet in Arrear, partly from the Counties, and in Part unassigned by Sir Tho. By so much paid in to the Treasurers for the Poll Bill, upon the Account of that Receipt, to the Twenty-fourth of November 1660, the Sum of				252,167	1	4
By the neat Receipt of the Two Months Assessments, commencing the First November 1660, when the same is received, viz. over and above the Charge of collecting and paying the said Assessments, the Sum of				137,256	5	6
The total Sum assigned for the Service aforesaid, in which is included the Sum of 6,594£. 9s. 9d. in ready Cash, amounts to				426,331	6	6

Creditors.
To Money paid for disbanding the Forces in England, by Land and Sea, viz. in ready Money 314,544£. 1s. 6d. and by Bills of Exchange from Scotland, for which the said Commissioners have given Credit, and are yet unsatisfied, 11,000£. in all				325,544	1	6
To so much due for Arrears of the Forces to be disbanded in England, and to discharge the Eighteen for Ships,	269,694	7	10	287,624	17	10

And to so much borrowed of the City of London, upon the Credit of the Two Months Assessment, and which is to be wholly repaid, the Neat of the whole Two Months Assessments being charged, as per Contra				37,765	10	-

Besides the Sum of 8,000£. claimed by Officers and Soldiers, not formerly stated, and 9,000£. to make good the Warrants charged by the Committee of the Army upon the Excise and Assessments, and are unpaid; and 5,244£. 9s. Part of 8,000£. allowed by the Act, to reimburse Officers for Money lent their Soldiers upon their March out of Scotland; and 4,500£. likewise allowed by Act of Parliament, for the Charges of Auditors, Clerks, Treasurers, &c; and besides the growing Charge of 1,100£. per Diem, for Pay of the Forces by Land and Sea, undischarged, which are under the Care of the said Commissioners; and besides what his Majesty pays for Victuals to the Seamen				26,744	7	-

To supply which the said Commissioners have only in their View the Arrears of Twelve Months Assessments, commencing the Twenty-fourth of June 1659; and the Six Months Assessments, commencing the Twenty-fifth of December following, for which there is an Act passed by both Houses; and what further Sums of Money may come in upon the Act for the Poll Bill; and the abovementioned Sum of Twenty-six thousand Three hundred Eighty-four Pounds Eleven Shillings Two-pence, assigned out of the Three Months Assessments, commencing the Twenty-fourth of June 1656.

Resolved, That To-morrow Morning the Debate be resumed upon this Report; and that Consideration be then had, of supplying such Monies as shall be found necessary to take off the present growing Charge:

That, at Ten of the Clock To-morrow, the House be resolved into a Grand Committee of the whole House; in order to the perfecting of the Bill for Six Months Assessments.

Poll Bill.

Ordered, That the Committee, to whom the Bill for supplying the Defects of the Act for Poll Money, is referred, be impowered to send for any of the Commissioners appointed by the said Act, whether for the City of London, or other Places; and to require an Account from them, what Monies have been charged on any the respective Places by virtue of the said Act; how the same hath been paid; and to examine through whose default, or by what other Obstruction, the Monies, due in such Places, have not been better answered; and in whose Hands any of the said Monies remains; and to report to the House: And Colonel King, Sir Wm. Lewes, Mr. Swinfen, Mr. Spry, Mr. West, Sir Trevor Williams, Sir Edw. Massey, Mr. Edw. Bascawen, Mr. Foley, Mr. Briscoe, Mr. Titus, Sir John Bowyer, Sir Henry North, Sir William Morgan, Mr. Ceely, Mr. Moyle, Mr. Jolliffe, Sir Henry Cesar, Mr. Culliford, Mr. Bascawen, Mr. Hollis, Mr. Collins, Mr. Hatcher, Mr. Gott, Sir John Marsham, Mr. Snead, Mr. Henley, Sir Henry Worsley, Mr. Dowdswell, Major Hales, Mr. Moore, Mr. Radcliffe, Mr. Mynors, Sir John Yong, Sir Salomon Swayle, Colonel Birch, Sir Henry Williams, be added to that Committee: And they are to meet at Two of the Clock this Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber; and to make Report to the House with all convenient Speed: And Mr. Pedley, Mr. Serjeant Glyn, and Colonel King, are desired to take care herein.
