Prayers.

Micklethwaite's Estate.

AN ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, to confirm an Act, intituled, An Act to enable Joseph Micklethwaite, an Infant, and his Trustees, to sell Lands, for Payment of his Father's Debts, was read the Third time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill do pass: And that the Title be agreed to.

Courts of Equity.

An ingrossed Bill for regulating some Proceedings in Courts of Equity, was read.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill do pass: And that the Title shall be, An Act for regulating some Proceedings in Courts of Equity.

Deeping Fen.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for Draining of the Fen, called Deeping Fen, and other Fens therein mentioned, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be read the Second time To-morrow Morning.

Debtors Relief.

An ingrossed Bill for Relief of poor Prisoners was read.

A Proviso, to enable Justice of Peace to take Accompts between Creditors and Debtors, was twice read.

The Question being put, That the Proviso be made Part of the Bill;

It passed in the Negative.

Another Proviso, that the Coming before, or Returning of Prisoners from, the Justice of Peace, shall be no Escape, was thrice read; and some Amendments agreed to be made thereto.

Resolved, &c. That this Proviso be made Part of the Bill.

A Proviso, on the Behalf of the Marshal of the King's Bench, Warden of the Fleet, and other Gaols, was twice read.

An Addition to the said Proviso was twice read; and agreed to.

Resolved, &c. That the Proviso, with the Addition, be made Part of the Bill.

Ordered, That these Words, "and personal Notice given, or Notice in Writing left at the last known Place of his abode," be added in the Bill.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill do pass: And that the Title shall be, An Act for the Relief of poor Prisoners.

Norton's Petition.

A Petition of Major Norton Esquire was read.

Ordered, That this Petition be referred to the Committee of Elections; to take the same into Consideration at their next Sitting; and to summon and hear all Parties concerned; and to examine the Matter of Fact; and report the same with their Opinions therein, to the House.

Committees added.

Ordered, That these Members following be added to the Committee to whom the Bill concerning the Lord Edward Pawlett is committed; viz. Uniting Churches.

Ordered, That the Bill for Uniting of Parishes in Cities, and Towns Corporate, be read the First Bill Tomorrow Morning.
