Prayers.

Deane Forest.

ORDERED, That the Committee to whom the Bill for the Forest of Deane is referred, have Power to send for Persons, Papers, Witnesses, Records, and what else may conduce to the Business.

Burges' Petition.

The humble Petition of Captain Isaak Burges, of the County of Wilts; and a Certificate from the underwritten Commissioners for the late Militia in the said County; were read.

College Leases.

Ordered, That it be referred to a Committee to prepare the Form of a Protestation to be taken by the Members of the House, concerning the Bill for confirming of College Leases, which was taken off from the Table Yesterday; and that To-morrow the same be offered to each Member of the House, who shall be then present.

Ordered, That Mr. Pryn, Colonel King, Sir John Northcot, Sir Wm. Lewis, Sir John Bowyer, Mr. Rainsford, and Mr. Wingfield, be the said Committee.

Skynner's Estate.

The ingrossed Bill for enabling Augustine Skynner and Wm. Skynner to make Sale of some Lands for Payment of Debts, was this Day read the Third time; and, upon the Question, passed.

Ordered, That the Title of the said Bill be, An Act for enabling Augustine Skynner and Wm. Skynner to make Sale of some Lands, for Payment of Debts.

Ordered, That Mr. Francis Bacon do carry this Bill to the Lords.

Privilege-a Person discharged.

Ordered, That Mr. * Campbell the Constable, who misbehaved himself towards a Member of this House, being now in the Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, be forthwith discharged of his Imprisonment, he paying his Fees.

Excise.

Ordered, That the Act for continuing the Excise to the Twenty-fifth of December next, be printed by the Printers of this House, according to the Original, remaining in this House.

Dodderidge's Petition.

The humble Petition of John Dodderidge, Minister of Shapperton in the County of Middlesex, being tendered to the House, and the Effect thereof opened; complaining, That, on the Fifth of August instant, he was, with Force and Violence, dispossessed of the said Rectory, contrary to his Majesty's Proclamation;

Ordered, That the said Petition of the said John Dodderidge be referred to the Justices of the Peace of the County of Middlesex; to examine the Force, and to do therein according to Law.

Ministers Livings.

The House resumed the Debate upon the Amendments reported from the Committee to the Bill for Ministers Livings: Which Amendments were read:

Resolved, That after the Word "Act," Folio 3, Line 17, these Words be added, viz. "and thereupon so adjudged by the said Commissioners."-

Officers in Courts of Justice.

Ordered, That Sir Anthony Irby do carry to the Lords the Bill for indemnifying certain Officers in Courts of Justice.

And he carried the same to the Lords accordingly.-

Ministers Livings.

The Question being propounded, That these Words, viz. "or constantly refused to administer the same," be added to the Amendment offered by the Committee in these Words, viz. "or which hath not, by Preaching, Printing, or Writing, declared his Judgment to be against the Administering of the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper to such Persons as were not scandalous or ignorant;"

And the Question being put, That the same be now put;

It passed in the Affirmative.

And the main Question being put;

The House was divided.

And the Yeas went forth.

And so it passed in the Negative.

The Question being propounded, That this House doth agree with the Committee in this Clause, contained in one of the Amendments offered by the Committee, viz. "or which hath not, by Preaching, Printing, or Writing, declared his Judgment to be against the Administering of the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper to such Persons as were not scandalous or ignorant;"

It passed in the Negative.

The rest of the Amendments, to the last Line of the 3d Folio, and the additional Clause, beginning with these Words, "or which hath not subscribed any Petition to bring the late King, &c.;" and ending with these Words, "not scandalous or ignorant, &c." put in the Paragraph; were, with the Omission of the Clause last above-mentioned, upon the putting of them severally to the Question, agreed.
