Prayers.
Cardell's Petition.
THE humble Petition of John Cardell, Minister of the Gospel, was tendered to the Parliament.
And the Question being put, That this Petition be now read;
It passed with the Negative.
Clerk of the Parliament, &c.
Ordered, That the Report of the Acts for settling the Offices of the Clerk and Clerk-Assistant be reported on the Fourth of October next.
Private Business.
Resolved, That no private Business be taken into Consideration for Eight Days.
Excise Revenue.
Colonel Morley reports from the Council of State, That the Parliament be humbly moved, That they will be pleased to direct some effectual Course to be taken for securing the Commonwealth, as to the Monies due from the several Farmers of Beer and Ale, &c.
Farmers of Revenue.
Colonel White reports, from the Committee for Inspections;
Resolved, That there is due to the Commonwealth, from the Farmers of the Excise of Beer and Ale, and Inland Commodities, the Sum of One hundred Sixty-six thousand Thirty-two Pounds.
Publick Debtors.
Resolved, That the Serjeant at Arms attending the Parliament do forthwith apprehend, and take into safe Custody, the Bodies of Francis Thomson, Stephen Kirk, John Baker, Richard Best, and Esay Risby, as Delinquents and Debtors to the State.
Resolved, That the Serjeant at Arms attending the Parliament do forthwith apprehend, and take into safe Custody, the Bodies of John Chabner, John Duncklyn, Wm. Hawkins, Richard Lloyd, and Roger Higgs, as Delinquents and Debtors to the State.
Resolved, That the Serjeant at Arms attending the Parliament do forthwith apprehend, and take into safe Custody, the Body of Robert Williams, as a Delinquent and Debtor to the State.
Resolved, That the Serjeant at Arms attending the Parliament do forthwith apprehend, and take into safe Custody, the Bodies of Tho. Morris and Wm. Dodson, as Delinquents and Debtors to the State.
Resolved, That the Serjeant at Arms attending the Parliament do forthwith apprehend, and take into safe Custody, the Bodies of Tho. Williams, Tho. Wagstaffe, and John Hunting ford, as Delinquents and Debtors to the State.
Resolved, That the Serjeant at Arms attending the Parliament do forthwith apprehend, and take into safe Custody, the Bodies of Henry Wansey, and Jeremy Bodley, as Delinquents and Debtors to the State.
Resolved, That the Serjeant at Arms attending the Parliament do forthwith apprehend, and take into safe Custody, the Bodies of Tho. Basnett and Thomas Hobson, as Delinquents and Debtors to the State.
Resolved, That the Serjeant at Arms attending the Parliament do forthwith apprehend, and take into safe Custody, the Bodies of Humphr. Beane, and Tho. Calvard, as Delinquents and Debtors to the State.

Resolved, That the Serjeant at Arms attending the Parliament do forthwith apprehend, and take into safe Custody, the Bodies of Francis Downeham, as a Delinquent and Debtor to the State.
Resolved, That the Serjeant at Arms attending the Parliament do forthwith apprehend, and take into safe Custody, the Bodies of Wm. Dodson, and Wm. Hawkins, as Delinquents and Debtors to the State.
Excise Arrears.
Ordered, That it be referred to the Commissioners for bringing in Arrears, to take Care for the bringing in the Excise for Scotland and Ireland.
Excise, &c.
Ordered, That the Committee to whom it was referred to bring in a Bill for Continuing the Acts touching Excise and Customs, do bring in a Bill for the Continuing the Receipt of the Customs and Excise, for Three Months longer, as they have been paid in since the Seventh of May 1659.
Revenue Commissioners.
Mr. John Goodwin reports, Amendments to the Bill for constituting Commissioners for bringing in the Publick Revenue: Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed unto.
Resolved, That this Bill, thus amended, be ingrossed.
