Letter read.
THE Lord Commissioner Whitelock reports from the Council of State, A Letter from Robert Dromford, from aboard the Portsmouth Frigate, of the 5th of December 1652:

And another Letter from Roger Marten, from aboard the Dyamond Frigate, off Portland, the Second of December 1652.

Prince Henry.
Resolved, That Henry Stewart, Third Son of the late King, be removed from the Place where he now is, in the Isle of Wight.
Ordered, That it be referred to the Council of State, to send the said Henry Stuart beyond Sea, to such Place, and with such Accommodations, as they shall think fit.
Assessment.
An Act for raising One hundred and twenty thousand Pounds, by the Month, by way of Assessment, for Six Months, for Maintenance of the Forces in England, Scotland, and Ireland, and for the Use of the Navy, was this Day read the First and Second time.
Resolved, That Mr. James Ash be added a Commissioner in the County of Wiltes.
Resolved, That John Traford be added a Commissioner in the County of Essex.
Resolved, That Thomas Lewis, Wm. Powell, and William Basset, Esquires, named Commissioners for the County of Glamorgan, be omitted out of this Bill.
The Question being put, That this Bill be committed;
It passed with the Negative.
Resolved, That this Bill be ingrossed.
Sheriff of Hereford.
Resolved, That Thomas Cook Esquire be discharged from being Sheriff of Hereford.
Resolved, That Charles Milburne Esquire, be nominated and appointed Sheriff of the County of Hereford, for the Year ensuing; and that the Lords Commissioners for the Great Seal of England do issue forth a Commission to him, to be Sheriff of the said County, accordingly.
Sheriff of Suffolk.
Ordered, That Sir Robert Cook, in regard of his Indisposition of Body, his personal Attendance, as Sheriff of the County of Suffolk, be dispensed with.
Sir J. Winter.
Ordered, That Sir John Winter have his Liberty for Three Months, to go any-whither within Twenty Miles of London, only upon Security, as formerly.
Gift to Eleazar, &c.
The humble Petition of Eleazar and Abraham, Two converted Jews, was this Day read.
Ordered, That Twenty Pounds apiece be bestowed on the Petitioners: And that it be referred to the Council of State to make present Payment thereof to them, accordingly.
