Sequestering Estates.

COLONEL Downes reports, Amendments to the additional Bill for Sequestrations: Which were Twice read.

The Question being put, To agree to the Amendment, That the Quorum of the Commissioners be Three;

It passed with the Negative.

Resolved, That the Quorum of the Commissioners be Two.

Resolved, That the Allowances to be given to the Sub-Commissioners, for their Pains, shall be paid by Poundage.

Resolved, That the Allowance to the Sub-Commissioners shall be Eighteen-pence in the Pound.

Resolved, That the Allowance to the Treasurers shall be Two-pence in the Pound, to be divided amongst them.

Resolved, That there shall be Two Treasurers.

Resolved, That the Commissioners shall have Three hundred Pounds a Year apiece, standing Salary.

Resolved, That the Salary for the Comptroller and his Clerks shall be Three hundred Pounds a Year.

Resolved, That Mr. Praise-God Barbone be the Comptroller.

Resolved, That Richard Wareing Esquire be one of the Treasurers.

Resolved, That Major Doyley, Mr. Almory, Alderman Dethick, and Mr. Coney, Propounded for the other Treasurer, be considered of until Monday next.

Resolved, That the Committee of Inspections be inserted into this Bill: And that they be the Committee touching approving Officers Salaries, in this Business.

And the rest of the Amendments, being put to the Question, were agreed unto.

Resolved, That this Bill, thus amended, be ingrossed.

Resolved, That no Person propounded, as to any Office of Profit or Trust, shall be passed the same Day that he is propounded: And that Mr. Speaker do put the House in mind thereof.

Resolved, That such Person as shall present any Person to this House, for any Place of Profit or Trust, shall give in his Name, under his Hand; and leave it with the Clerk of this House; and that they believe him to be a Person within the Qualifications of the Ninth of May 1659.

Chester Ministers.

The humble Address and Petition of sundry Ministers in the County of Chester was this Day read.

Wethamstead Parsonage.

Ordered, That Mr. Tho. Upton be considered of until Monday next, as to his being put into the Parsonage of Wethamstead in the County of Hertford.

Allowance to E. of Lauderdaill.

Resolved, That Three Pounds a Week be allowed unto John Earl of Lauderdaill, out of the Contingencies of the Council of State: And that the Council of State do pay the same to him, or his Assigns, accordingly.

Leave of Absence.

Resolved, That Colonel Downes have Leave to go into the Country for a Fortnight, from the Time of his going out of Town.

Forfeited Estates.

Resolved, That the Committee touching certifying the Misnomer of some persons whose Estates were to be sold, as forfeited to the Commonwealth for Treasons, be revived: And that the Quorum be reduced to Three.

Representation of Officers.

The House, according to former Order, took into Consideration the humble Representation and Petition of the Officers of the Army.

Resolved, That this Debate be adjourned until Monday Morning next, the first Business; nothing to intervene.

Leave of Absence.

Resolved, That Colonel Bingham have Leave to go into the Country for a Month.
