Prayers.

Vassall's Claims.

THE humble Petition of Samuel Vassall, Esquire, concerning several Debts due and owing to him from the Commonwealth, stated upon several Votes and Resolutions of former Parliaments, indorsed upon the said Petition, was this Day read, together with the said Votes and Resolutions.

Resolved, &c. That it be recommended to his Highness the Lord Protector, to grant a Privy-Seal for the Payment of Five hundred Pounds forthwith to Mr. Samuell Vassall, in part of his Debt.

Mr. Cary Raliegh, Sir Walter Earle, Mr. AttorneyGeneral, Mr. Annesley, Colonel Salmon, Colonel Whetham, and Sir John Northcote, or any Three of them, are appointed to go unto his Highness from this House; and to communicate the Vote of this House to him, for the Payment of Five hundred Pounds to Mr. Vassall, in Part of his Debt.

Resolved, &c. That the Petition of Mr. Samuel Vassall be referred to a Committee to consider thereof, and to report their Opinion thereupon to the House.

Publick Revenue.

Resolved, &c. That Tuesday next be appointed for the Committee for Inspection into the Accompts and Treasuries, to bring in a Report concerning the State of the Accompts and Publick Revenues: And that the same be then heard.

Privilege-Case of Nevill and Strowde.

Resolved, &c. That Thursday next be appointed for the House to determine the Cause concerning Mr. Henry Nevill, and Mr. Strowde, late Sheriff of the County of Berks.

Irish Affairs.

Resolved, &c. That a Committee be named, to consider of what is fit to be offered to this House, in relation to the Affairs of Ireland.

Resolved, &c. That no Persons that are concerned, shall, in such Cases wherein they are concerned, have Voices at the aforesaid Committee for the Affairs of Ireland.

Scotch Affairs.

The House resumed the Debate upon the Bill concerning the Excise, and new Impost; and concerning the Customs, and Tonage and Poundage.
