Prayers.

Letter read.

A LETTER from Aberdeene in Scotland, of the Twenty-fifth Day of September 1651, was this Day read.

London Magistrates.

The House being informed, That the Lord Mayor, and divers of the Aldermen of the City of London, were at the Door, they were called in; and, after a Preamble made by Mr. Recorder of London, he did present an humble Petition, in the Name of the Petitioners, to the Parliament, Which, after the Petitioners were withdrawn, was read, and was intituled, "The humble Petition of the Lord Mayor and Court of Aldermen of the City of London."

Resolved, That this Petition be referred to the Consideration of the Council of State; with Power to them, upon hearing of Parties, to compose the Differences, if they can; or else to report the State of the Matter of Fact, with their Opinion therein, to the House, with all convenient Speed.

The Lord Mayor and Aldermen were again called in, and being come to the Bar, Mr. Speaker acquainted them, That the Parliament had read their Petition, and taken the same into their Consideration; and put the same into a Course; which the House commanded him to acquaint them with.

Army and Garisons.

The House resumed the Debate upon the Report made Yesterday from the Council.

Resolved, That the Business concerning Scarborough Castle be referred back to the Council of State.

Resolved, That the old Establishment of 7£. 18s. 8d. per Month, to Clifford's Tower in York, do stand; and that the Garison be supplied out of the Army.

The Question being put, That the House doth agree with the Reduction for Clifford's Tower, as it is in the Report, being 60£. 13s. 4d. per Month;

It passed with the Negative.

Resolved, That the Establishment for the Forces and Garisons be brought in on Tuesday next, with respect to the Votes already passed.

The House according to former Order, adjourned itself to Tuesday Morning next, Eight of Clock.
