Prayers.

Representation and Elections.

THE House, according to former Order, was this Day resolved into a Grand Committee, touching an equal Representative, and for regulating Elections.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Mr. Lechmere took the Chair.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Lechmere reports from the Grand Committee, touching an equal Representative, and for regulating Elections, That the said Grand Committee have adjourned until This-day-sevennight; and desire the Leave of this House that they may sit then.

Resolved, That the House be resolved into a Grand Committee, on This-day-sevennight, upon the Heads of a Bill for an equal Representative, and regulating their Elections: And that Mr. Speaker do then forbear to take the Chair.

Army Arrears.

Sir William Armyn reports from the Council of State, the humble Petition of the Officers and Soldiers of Colonel Duckenfield's Regiment.

Which was this Day read.

Ordered, That it be recommended to the Commissioners for taking Accounts at Worcester House: Who are hereby authorized to appoint, and send down, some Persons, whom they shall think fit, as Commissioners, to state the Accompts of the Officers and Soldiers of Colonel Duckenfield's Regiment, according to the Rules given to the said Commissioners for Accounts: And that the said Commissioners do give Debentures accordingly.

Goldsmiths Hall Revenue.

Ordered, That the Commissioners of Goldsmiths Hall be authorized and required to grant their Warrants to the Treasurers there, to make Payment of all such Sums of Money as the Council of State hath charged upon the Revenue of the Lands settled upon Trustees for the Irish Affairs, according to the several Contracts and Warrants made by the said Council, or shall charge upon the same, out of the Monies and Revenues that shall come in to Goldsmiths Hall, out of those Lands.

Relief of Creditors.

Ordered, That the Act for the more effectual Recovery of Debts, and Relief of Creditors, be reported To-morrow Morning, the first Business.

Meal-men.

Ordered, That the Report touching the Meal-men be made To-morrow Morning.

Probate of Wills.

Ordered, That the Amendments to the Act touching the Probate of Wills be reported on Tuesday Morning next, the first Business.

Briefs, &c.

Ordered, That the Debate of the Business touching Andevor, and touching granting Briefs in general, be taken up on Friday-sevennight.

Delinquents Estates.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Council of State, to take into Consideration what Persons are beyond the Sea, who have Estates in this Commonwealth, and have been counselling, aiding, or assisting to the Enemy; and to report their Opinion to this House, what is fit to be done concerning the said Persons.

Earl of Downe's Estates.

An Act for enabling of Thomas Earl of Downe to make Sale of some of his Manors and Lands, to the Value of Five hundred Pounds per Annum, thereby to enable him to pay his Debts, was this Day read the First time; and, upon the Question, ordered to read the Second time This-day-fortnight.

Jersey Sufferers.

The humble Petition of divers Gentlewomen exiled, and kept out of the Isle of Jersey, in the Behalf of themselves, and other distressed Persons, in the same Island, was this Day read.

Resolved, That the Land of Sir Philip Carterett, in the Isle of Jersey, be disposed of for the Benefit of the Petitioners: And that an Act be brought in to that Purpose.

And the special Care hereof is referred to Mr. Stephens and Mr. Bond.

Chancellor's Registry, Norfolk.

Ordered, That Doctor Gabriell Barbor forthwith take into his Custody all such Wills, and other Writings, as are in or belonging to the Office commonly called the Chancellor's Registry in the County of Norfolk, or County of the City of Norwich, sequestered for the Delinquency of Mr. John Knight.
