King's Answer a Ground for Settlement.

THE Question was propounded, That the Answers of the King to the Propositions of both Houses are a Ground for the House to proceed upon for the Settlement of the Peace of the Kingdom:

And the Question being put, Whether this Question shall be now put;

The House was divided.

Resolved, &c. That the Answers of the King to the Propositions of both Houses are a Ground for the House to proceed upon, for the Settlement of the Peace of the Kingdom.

Resolved, &c. That the Lords Concurrence be desired in this Vote.

Committee to attend the General.

Mr. Pierrepoint, Sir John Evelyn of Wiltes, Mr. Ashurst, Mr. Maynard, Sir Thomas Widdrington, Colonel Birch, Mr. Solicitor.

This Committee is appointed to go this Afternoon to the Head Quarters, to confer with the General, and the Officers of his Army, for the keeping and preserving a good Correspondence between the Parliament and the Army.
