A Prisoner discharged.

THE humble Petition .. Philip Chetwyn, Prisoner in Warwick Castle, was this Day read.

Resolved, by the Parliament, That Mr. Chetwyn be discharged of his Imprisonment: And that Mr. Speaker do send his Warrant for his Discharge, accordingly.

Discovery of a Papist's Estate.

Colonel Thompson reports from the Committee of the Navy, as followeth:

"A Proposition having been made unto this Committee, of discovering a personal Estate belonging to a Papist, of a great Value, in case the Discoverer might be admitted to compound for the same at the Rate of one Moiety of the true Value; the former Ordinances of Parliament, made in October 1643, allowing One Third Part to such Delinquents of their Estates;

"Resolved, That the Parliament be moved to declare their Pleasure, whether Liberty shall be granted to this Committee to compound for the personal Estates of such Papists as heretofore have not, or at present are not, under Sequestration, at the Rate of One Moiety of the true Value thereof, the former Third Part being included; and that the other Moiety be employed to the Use of the Navy."

Ordered, That the Committee of the Navy be, and are hereby, authorized to compound for the concealed personal Estate of One Papist, whose Name shall be discovered to the said Committee within Two Days next ensuing, at the Rate of One Moiety of the full Value of the said Estate so discovered, or to be discovered (the former Third Part allowed to such Papist being included); and that the other Moiety be employed to the Use of the Navy: Provided, That there neither hath been, nor is, any Discovery already made of such Estate; nor Information made or exhibited touching the same; nor he said Estate already sequestered.
