Prayers.

Representation and Elections.

THE House, according to former Order, was this Day resolved into a Grand Committee, touching an equal Representative, and for regulating Elections.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Mr. Say took the Chair.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Say reports from the Grand Committee touching an equal Representative, and for regulating Elections, That the said Grand Committee hath adjourned itself until This-day-sevennight; and that they desire the House will give them Leave to sit then.

Resolved, That the House be resolved into a Grand Committee on This-day-sevennight, touching an equal Representative, and for regulating Elections.

Mr. Beck.

Ordered, That Mr. Nevell Beck be, and is hereby, recommended to the Masters and Governors of the Charter House, to confer a Place in the Charter House upon him.

Ordered, That the Commissioners of Goldsmiths Hall be, and are hereby, required and authorized forthwith to pay and satisfy the Sum of Ten Pounds unto Mr. Nevell Beck, out of the Monies coming in to that Treasury by Discoveries at Haberdashers Hall.

Fens.

The humble Petition of the Inhabitants of the Soake of Peterborough in the County of Northampton, containing about Forty Towns and Villages, whose Names are subscribed, was this Day read.

The humble Petition of the Adventurers and Participants for Draining of the Great Level of the Fens, was this Day read.

The Question being propounded, That the Petition of the Inhabitants of the Soak in the County of Northampton be committed;

And the Question being put, That that Question be now put;

It passed with the Negative.

The Question being propounded, That the said Petition of the Adventurers and Participants for Draining of the Great Level of the Fens be committed;

It passed with the Negative.
