Prayers.

Fee-farm Rents.

AN Act for selling the Fee-farm Rents belonging to the Commonwealth of England, and heretofore payable to the Crown of England, Duchy of Lancaster, and Duchy of Cornwall, was this Day read the Third time.

Resolved, That these Words, "The Isles of Jersey and Guernsey," be omitted out of the Act.

A Proviso was tendered to the said Act, in these Words; "Provided always, That this Act, or any thing therein contained, shall not extend to any Fee-farm Rents, or other Rents heretofore issuing out of any Lands lately belonging to any Archbishop, Bishop, Dean and Chapter, and already sold, extinguished, or discharged by Sale, or appointed to be sold by Authority of Parliament; but that such Sale shall be good and effectual in the Law, as if this Act had never been made;" Which was twice read.

The Question being put, That this Proviso be read the Third time;

It passed with the Negative.

Another Provison was tendered to this Act, "That all Fee-farm Rents, and other the Premises afore-mentioned, shall not be liable to any Rates, Payments, or Taxes whatsoever, without the same be by particular Name expressed by Act of Parliament:" Which was once read.

And the Question being put, That this Proviso be read the Second time;

It passed with the Negative.

Another Proviso was tendered, "That this Act do not extend to a Fee-farm Rent of Fifty and Eight Pounds and Halfpeny, payable out of the Prebendary of Bishops Wilton in the East Riding of the County of York; but that the said Fifty-eight Pounds ob. shall, from henceforth, be settled to and for the Maintenance of a preaching Minister in the Parish Church of Bishops Wilton aforesaid:" Which was read the First time.

And the Question being put, That this Proviso be read the Second time;

It passed with the Negative.

And the Bill, being put . . the Question, passed; and ordered to be printed and published.

Writs of Error.

An Act for Redress of Delays and Mischiefs arising by Writs of Error, in several Cases, was this Day read the Third time.

And a Proviso was tendered to this Act, "That this Act shall continue for Three Years from the First Day of May 1650:" Which was this Day read; and, upon the Question, assented unto; and ordered to be Part of the Bill.

And the said Act, being put to the Question, passed. And,

It is Ordered, That the said Act be forthwith printed and published.

Relief of Creditors.

Mr. Say reports Amendments to the Act for Relief of Creditors: Which were read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, re-committed; and that it be brought in This-day-sevennight.
