PRAYERS.

Answer from Lords.

MR. Oldesworth brings Answer, That the Lords do concur to the Ordinance for constituting the Earl of Pembroke and Montgomery Constable of the Honour . . Windsore, and Keeper of the great Park at Windsore.

Mr. Rigby brings Answer, That the Lords do agree to the Order touching Friday next to be a Day of Publick Humiliation; and to the Ordinance for Payment of Three thousand Pounds to Lieutenant Colonel Lilborne: And, to the Ordinance for revoking the Ordinance for settling the Militia of the County of Lancaster, the Lords will send Answer by Messengers of their own.

Preacher appointed.

Ordered, That Mr. Peters be desired to preach on Friday next, the Day of Publick Humiliation, at Margaret's, Westminster, in the place of Mr. * *

Mr. Smyth is to give him Notice hereof.

City Officers.

An additional Ordinance, to the Ordinance of 18 Decembris 1648, for choosing of Common Council Men, and other Officers, within the City of London, and Liberties thereof, for the Year ensuing, That no Person who subscribed any Engagement in the Year 1648, relating to a personal Treaty with the King at London, shall be elected into any the Offices expressed in the aforesaid Ordinance, was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, passed; and ordered to be sent to the Lords for their Concurrence.

Sir John Danvers is to carry it to the Lords.

Secluded Members.

Mr. Serjeant Thorpe reports from the General, That he, and the rest of the Committee appointed to go to the General, acquainted the General with the Order of this House, and with the Votes made by the House: That the General returned Answer, That they were Matters of great Consequence; and that he believed the House did not expect a present Answer thereunto: That he would prepare an Answer, and send it forthwith; and that, in the mean time, the House would not trouble themselves to send any more to him therein.

Message to Lords.

Sir John Danvers carried to the Lords an additional Ordinance touching Election of Officers in the City of London, and the Order touching the breaking up the Ship the Dreadnought.

Answer.

Sir John Danvers brings Answer, That the Lords do agree to both the Particulars carried by him to the Lords for their Concurrence.

Ordered, That Mr.Love and Mr. Lillibone Long, be added to the Committee of Lords and Commons for Sequestrations, in the rooms of Mr. Solicitor St. Johns, and Mr. Samuel Browne.

Siege of Pontefract, &c.

Ordered, That the Committee of Lincoln are hereby impowered and authorized to raise the Sum of Two thousand Pounds, for Relief of the Forces of Pontefract and Scarborough, of such well-affected Persons as will voluntarily contribute thereunto.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth approve of what the Committees, of Nottingham and Derby have done for the Relief of the Forces of Pontefract and Scarborough.

Ordered, That Mr. Millington do prepare Letters, to be signed by Mr. Speaker, and sent to the said several Committees, to acquaint them herewith.
