Fast.

ORDERED, That Mr. Solicitor and Mr. Salloway do return Thanks unto Dr. Downing and Mr. Carter, for the great Pains they took in the Sermons they preached, at the Intreaty of this House, before the Members thereof, at St. Margarett's, Westminster, this Day of publick Fast; and that they do intreat them, from the House, to print their Sermons: And that they have the like Order of Restraint for those only to print their Sermons, whom they shall appoint, as others in the like Cases have formerly had.

Preachers appointed.

Resolved, That Mr. Hodges and Mr. Wilson, shall be nominated by this House, to preach before the Members of this House, the next Day of publick Fast: And that Mr. Green do, from this House, intreat Mr. Hodges; and Sir H. Heyman, Mr. Wilson.

Suppressing Stage Plays.

Ordered, That a Message be sent to the Lords, To-morrow Morning, to desire them to join with this House in an Order that all Stage Plays may be put down, during this Time of Distractions, and of Fasting: And Mr. Rowse is appointed to bring in an Order to this Purpose.

Order revoked.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the Order of the 22th of July, for Allowing of Thirty Pounds to Monsieur de Nevile, a French Gentleman, out of the Collections at the publick Fasts at Westminster, by Ten Pounds a Fast, be revoked; the House intending to provide for him in another Manner.

Capuchins.

Ordered, That the Lords be moved to join with this House in an Order that the Capuchins may be forthwith sent out of the Kingdom; and that their Convent, and Place of Residence, may be demolished, that it may not be a Receipt for the like Sort of People hereafter.

And Sir Ro. Harley is appointed to draw up an Order to this Purpose; and to bring it in To-morrow Morning.
