PRAYERS.

Privilege.

IT is ordered, upon the Information of Mr. Wharton, a Member of this House, that all Proceedings in the Court of Honour, there depending between him and one Mr. Pudsey, shall be stayed, during the Privilege of this Parliament; and that Jo. Rainshawe, who served the said Mr. Wharton with a Warrant to attend the Commission, shall be sent for; and to be referred to the Committee for Privileges, to examine the Contempt.

Ship-money.

The Petition of Walter Oke, of London, read, being a Collector for Ship-money, committed by Alderman Brom- field, for not paying more Ship-money than he had received:

It was resolved to move this House, when the House falls into the Debate touching Ship-money.

Wales Court of Marches.

1^a vice lecta, An Act for the Exemption of the Four Shires, viz. Worcester, Gloucester, &c. from the Juris diction of the Lord President of Wales.

Colne, & Manors.

1^a vice lecta, An Act concerning the Confirming and Making good of the Copyhold Estates of his Majesty's Tenants of the Manors of Colne, Ichtenhill, &c.

Clergymen not to be Justices.

1^a vice lecta, An Act, that certain Clergymen shall not be Justices of the Peace.

Committee for Trade.

Sir A. Ingram, Mr. Harrison, Sir Jo. Wolstenholme, Sir Nich. Cripps, Sir Jo. Ramsden, Mr. Ch. Price, Mr. Waindsford;-and all, that will come, may, and have all Voice;-

This Committee is appointed to receive all Petitions, Informations, and other Matters concerning Trade; and have Power to send for Parties, Witnesses, and Records, and are to meet this Afternoon, and so every Tuesday and Thursday after, at Two of Clock in the Afternoon, in the Star Chamber.

Spanish Wines, &c.

The Petition of the Merchants trading in Spanish Wines was here read, and, upon the Reading, referred to the Committee for Trade.

Ordered, That the Committee for Trade shall take into bqeConsideration the whole Business, touching the Importa tion of Spanish Woolls; and to present to the House what they shall think convenient touching this Matter.

Committees.

Ordered, The Committees, that concern the Bills to prevent the Mischiefs happening by Occupancy, and that of preventing Abuses happening by Recoveries suffered by Infants, to meet this Afternoon, at Two of Clock in Lincolns Inn Hall.

Whereas Mr. Maynard and Mr. Jones have the Charge of these two Bills; it is ordered, in regard Mr. Jones sits in the Chair for Privileges, that Mr. Pelham should take care of that Bill, which now He has.

Apparel.

The Committee for Apparel to sit at Two of Clock To-morrow in the Afternoon, in the Exchequer Chamber; and Mr. Ch. Price, and Mr. Waindsford added to the Committee for Apparel: And Sir Roger North to take Charge of this Bill.

Committees.

Declared, Eight is a full Number for a Committee.

It was also Declared, That all Grand Committees have Power to make Sub-committees, out of their own Number.

Ship-money.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the Legality of Ship-money shall be farther debated on here.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the King's Counsel, on Monday next, or sooner, if they can be ready, may be heard in this House, touching the Legality of Ship- money.

Ordered, That such Gentlemen, as have any Records of Parliament, or other Records, concerning Ship-money, and those Records that remain in the Judges Hands, together with the Commissions for Excise, and Loans, shall be brought hither by Monday next, or sooner, if Occasion be; and the Clerk also is to have ready here all such Records of this House, as may any way conduce to this Business.

And the House is to go on with the rest of the Report, Yesterday made, To-morrow Morning.

Ordered, Mr. Holborne, and Mr. St. Johns, to repair to the Judges, and to require from them, on the Behalf of this House, those Records concerning Ship-money, that were delivered unto them, on Mr. Hampden's Part.
