PRAYERS
Stay of Process against Scroggs, &c.
ORDERED, That a Stay be made of any farther Process for the Levying of the Fines imposed and laid upon Scroggs, Midwinter, and Jones, by a Sentence in the Star-chamber, till this House has taken farther Order in the Business; and likewise, that a Stay be made of the Suit commenced upon a Bond taken, of these Men aforesaid, by Mr. Ingram, Warden of the Fleet, for Fees by him pretended to be due unto him from them, upon their Commitment in pursuance of that Sentence.
Rawson's Petition.
Ordered, That Rawson shall have Liberty to withdraw a Petition he has exhibited to the Committee for the Fens, where Mr. Ellis has the Chair, to amend it.
Ball's, &c. Petition.
The humble Petition of Thomas Ball Clerk, Thomas Martin, John Gifford, and others, was read:
Martin and Gifford were called in, and did avow their Petition; and then it was referred to the Committee for the Council-board.
Dutton's Petition.
Ordered, That the Petition of John Dutton Esquire be referred to the Committee for Secretary Windebank: And Mr. Wheeler and Mr. Reignolds are added to that Committee.
Sir K. Digby.
Sir Kenelme Digby according to an Order Yesterday, was called in.

A Stranger examined.
One Best, a Stranger, came into the House; and was therefore called to the Bar; and upon his Knees, was asked some Questions by Mr. Speaker: And the farther Examination of him was referred to Sir Ro. Pye, Sir Tho. Walsingham, and Mr. Glinne; and upon their Report he was discharged.
Proceedings concerning Sir K. Digby, &c.
Mr. Strode, Mr. Hampden, Sir Edw. Hungerford, Ld. Falkland, Sir Tho. Hutchinson, Mr. Ra. Goodwyn, Mr. Regnolds, Sir W. Erle, Sir Jo. Culpepper, Sir Edw. Deering, Sir Gilbert Gerard, Mr. White, Mr. Nath. Fines, Sir Jo. Hotham, Mr. Perd, Sir Tho. Barrington, Sir Fr. Seymour, Sir Christ. Wray;
This Committee is to prepare Questions, to be proposed to Sir Kenelme Digby, Mr. Mountague, and others, concerning Motives and Instructions given to the Popish Recusants for raising Monies for the Northern Expedition, and such other Questions as they, in their Judgments, shall think fit; and for this Purpose they are to meet this Afternoon, at Two of Clock, in the Treasurychamber; and have Power to send for Parties, Witnesses, Papers, Records, Books, or any thing else, that may conduce to the Business.
Hawes Petition.
Ordered, That Mr. Hawes, who formerly preferred his Petition to this House, and was by the said House referred to the Committee for Algiers, where it now remains, may have Liberty to withdraw his Petition; that he may prefer it to the Lords; in regard this House, in respect of the many publick important Businesses, has for a time laid down all private Committees.

Mr. Reignolds has Leave to be of Council with the said Mr. Hawes, in the Lords House.
Treaty with Scotland.
Mr. Treasurer reports the Conference with the Lords Yesterday, concerning the Treaty between the Two Kingdoms.

Ordered, That the House take into Debate and Consideration, on Saturday Morning next, the Report of Yesterday's Conference with the Lords, now made by Mr. Treasurer, concerning the Treaty between the Two Kingdoms.
