PRAYERS.
Grievances.
PETITION and Proclamation, touching Pinmakers, referred to the Committee for Grievances.
Herbert's &c. Decree in Chancery.
1a vice lecta, An Act for Reversal of a Decree, made in Chancery, and Star-chamber, between Sir Arnold Herbert Knight, Plaintiff, and Lownes & al', Defendants.
Sheriff of Warwick.
The Sheriff of Warwick to be brought hither Tomorrow Morning.
A Member declares himself not a Papist.
Sir Jo. Holland, desiring to clear himself from any Opinion that might reflect upon him of being a Papist, upon that Consideration that his Wife was and continues a Papist, was, upon what he said and professed there, cleared, by Question, from any such Opinion: And the whole House rested very well satisfied, with that Protestation he voluntarily made, of his Affection and Constancy to the Protestant Religion.
Papists at Cambridge.
One Mr. Norton, a Divine, was called in, and examined; and, to divers Questions, demanded of him by Mr. Speaker, answered, that he had a Son at Cambridge; and certain Fellows of Peter-;house endeavoured to seduce him to Popery; pretending that Dr. Cosens would make him a Fellow of Peterhouse, if he would come thither :- Thus much appeared upon Oath :- And he was forced to send for his Son away,-Said, he hath a Copy of the Arguments that passed between them and his Son: That the Questions in Peter-house Chapel are maintained and held, as they are at Rome: And instanced several of the Questions.
Doctor Coesens, Monita pro Sacello Collegii Sancti Petri Cantabrigiá, were read; and the whole Business, concerning Mr. Norton, and those Monita and Dr. Coesens, were referred to the former Committee for Smart's Petition.
State of the Army, &c.
Sir Jo. Hotham reports from the Committee for Inquiry after the State of the King's Army, &c. *
The Business concerning the Report from the Committee for Inquiry after the King's Army, is now deferred, to be the first Business To-morrow Morning at Nine of Clock.
Outer Room cleared, &c.
The outward Room was cleared; and the Keys of the outward Door, and the House Door, were brought up to the Clerk's Table.
Impeachment of E. of Straford.
Mr. Pimme reports from the Committee, appointed to draw up the Charge against the Earl of Straford, &c.

The Title of the Charge, and every particular Article of the Charge, and the Conclusion, and the Addition to the Conclusion, were distinctly read; and severally put to the Question; and every Particular of them resolved upon by Vote, in the House.
Mr. Perd was, by Vote, cleared from any Imputation to be laid upon him, for any Expression, or Interpretation, he made of the Word "Regal," used in One of the Articles of the Charge against the Earl of Straford.
These Articles, thus resolved upon by Question, were, by another Question, ordered to be ingrossed against To morrow Morning; and no Copies to be delivered of them in the Interim: And the same Committee, that prepared the Charge, is to draw up the Interrogatories: And Mr. Pimme is to go up to the Lords with the Charge.
Ecclesiastical Canons.
By Resolution, upon the Question, Thursday next is appointed for the Debate of the new Canons, and the Benevolence granted by the Clergy.
Ship-money.
By Resolution, upon Question also, Friday Morning next, Nine of Clock, is appointed for the Debate of the Legality, and Illegality, of the Ship-money.
