Prayers.

Drax's Estate.

MR. Brewer reports from the Committee to whom the ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, intituled, An Act to vest the Estate late of Henry Drax, Esquire, deceased, in Thomas Shatterden, and others, to whom the said Estate is devised, to make a Jointure, was committed, That they had considered the Bill; and had directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendments: And he delivered the same in at the Table.

Earl of Winchelsea's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act for the enabling the Right honourable Charles Earl of Winchelsea to settle a Jointure upon any Wife he shall marry during his Minority, was read the Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Serjeant Trenchard, Serjeant Tremaine, Mr. How, Mr. Cary, Sir Robert Davers, Sir Tho. Darcy, Mr. Chadwick, Mr. Blowfeild, Mr. Christie, Mr. Freeman, Sir Jac. Ashley, Mr. Buscawen, Mr. Burdett, Mr. Waller, Mr. England, Mr. Lutterell, Mr. Hedger, Sir Robert Edon, Sir John Dorrell, Mr. Henley, Mr. Campion, Sir Edw. Hussey, Mr. Gilbert, Mr. Lewis, Mr. Carter, Sir John Moreton, and all the Members that serve for the Counties of Kent and Sussex: And they are to meet this Afternoon at Four of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Cullum's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act for enabling Sir Dudley Cullum, Baronet, to raise Monies to pay his Brothers and Sisters Portions, was read a Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Sir Rob. Davers, Sir John Dorrell, Mr. Burdet, Mr. Carter, Mr. Waller, Mr. Campion, Mr. Blowfeild, Mr. England, Sir Rob. Henley, Mr. Piggott, Sir Tho. Darcy, Mr. Hutchinson, Sir John Moreton, Sir Jacob Ashley, Mr. Lewis, Sir Ralph Dutton, Sir John Knight, Mr. Freeman, Sir Wm. Lemon, Mr. Bidolph, Mr. Cary, and all the Members that serve for the Counties of Norfolke, and Suffolke: And they are to meet this Afternoon at Four a Clock in the Speaker's Chamber.

Clandestine Mortgages.

A Bill to prevent Frauds by clandestine Mortgages, was read the First Time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Fraudulent Devises.

A Bill for Relief of Creditors against fraudulent Devises, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Selling Offices.

Mr. Gilbert, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill to prevent the Buying and Selling of Offices. And the same was received.

Supply Bill; Low Wines.

Sir Sam. Dashwood, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill for the better ordering and collecting the Duties upon Low Wines, and Strong Waters; and preventing the Abuses therein. And the same was received.

Bankrupts.

A Bill for the better Recovery, and more equal Distribution, of Bankrupts Estates, was, according to the Order of the Day, read the Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Serjeant Trenchard, Serjeant Blincowe, Serjeant Wogan, Sir Ralph Dutton, Sir Rob. Davers, Mr. Christie, Mr. Hutchinson, Sir Rob. Edon, Mr. Slater, Sir Sam. Dashwood, Mr. Arnold, Mr. Pollexfen, Mr. Gilbert, Sir Tho. Littleton, Sir John Dorrell, Sir Rob. Henley, Mr. Etterick, Mr. Colt, Mr. Perry, Mr. Blowfeild, Mr. Harcourt, Sir Cha. Rashleigh, Mr. Lutterell, Mr. Carter, Mr. Waller, Mr. Langton, Sir Hen. Goodrick, Mr. Parkhurst, Sir Rob. Dashwood, Mr. Chadwick, Mr. Lloyd, Sir Jerv. Dover Harbour.

Then the House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Bill for Repair of Dover Harbour.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Serjeant Trenchard took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Serjeant Trenchard reports from the said Committee, That they had made some Progress in the Bill; and had directed him to move the House, That they might have Leave to sit again.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Monday Morning next, at Nine a Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the said Bill.

Resolved, That it be an Instruction to the said Committee, that they do take Yarmouth Pier into Consideration.

Supply.

Then the House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Supplies to be granted to their Majesties for the carrying on a vigorous War against France.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Solicitor General took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Solicitor General reports from the said Committee, That they had made some Progress in the Matter to them referred; and had directed him to move the House, That a particular State of the Revenue, and a Computation of the Civil List, might be laid before the House; and that the Committee might have Leave to sit again.

Ordered, That a particular State of the Revenue, and a Computation of the Civil List be laid before this House.

Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning, after the Report of the Bill against Mutineers and Deserters, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of Ways and Means for raising Supplies to be granted to their Majesties for the carrying on a vigorous War against France.

Answer to Address.

Mr. Vice Chamberlain acquaints the House, That the Members of this House who are of his Majesty's most honourable Privy Council, had, according to the Order of the House, made an humble Application to his Majesty for a Pass for Mr. Fuller: and that his Majesty was pleased to say, That he would take care it should be done speedily.

Debtors Escapes.

Ordered, That Mr. Brockman, Mr. Colt, Sir Tho. Bernardiston, be added to the Committee to whom the Bill for the better Relief of Creditors, and preventing Escapes, is committed.

Committees.

A Motion being made, and the Question being put, That all Committees be revived;

It passed in the Negative.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
