Prayers.

Coronation.

A MOTION being made, That a Committee be appointed to examine how the Members of the House may, with the most Conveniency, see their Majesties Coronation; and what Orders be observed therein;

Resolved, That a Committee be appointed to confer with their Majesties Surveyor General, and to consider how this House shall be accommodated with necessary Conveniencies, in going to, and coming from, Westminster Abby, and while they are there, and also in Westminster Hall, at the Solemnity of their Majesties Coronation; and what Order shall be observed therein.

And it is referred to Mr. Boscowen, Sir Robert Clayton, Sir H. Goodrick, Mr. Paul Foley, Colonel Birch; or any Three of them: And they are to report the same to the House on Monday Morning.

Ordered, That the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, do take into Custody all and every such Person and Persons, other than Members and Officers of the House, that shall presume to press or come into the Galleries, in the Abby Church at Westminster or Westminster Hall, appointed for this House to be in, at the Solemnity of their Majesties Coronation; or into the Exchequer Chamber where they are to dine.

Whitacre's Petition.

A Petition of Edward Whitacre, Gentleman, setting forth divers Prosecutions against him, and other Sufferings by him; and praying the Consideration of the House therein; was read.

Resolved, That it be referred to the Committee, who were appointed the Fifth Day of March last, to examine who were the Authors and Advisers of the Matters then reported from the Grand Committee of Grievances, to examine the Matter of the said Petition; and report the same, with their Opinions, to the House.

Leave for Member to attend Lords as Counsel.

Ordered, That Sir John Holt have Leave to attend the Lords Bar, on Monday next, as Counsel in a Cause between Foster and Foster.

Prince of Denmarke's Nat.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, intituled, An Act for the Naturalizing the most Noble Prince George of Denmarke, and settling his Precedency, was read the Third time.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass.

Ordered, That Sir Henry Capell do carry up the Bill to the Lords; and acquaint them with the Concurrence of this House thereunto, without any Alteration.

Exporting Beer, &c.

A Bill for exporting Beer, Ale, and Mum, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Abolishing Hearth-money.

An ingrossed Bill for taking away the Revenue arising by Hearth-money, was read the Third time.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for taking away the Revenue arising by Hearth-money.

Ordered, That Sir Francis Russell do carry up the Bill to the Lords, for their Concurrence.

Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy.

The House then, according to the Order of Yesterday, resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed in the further Consideration of the ingrossed Bill, sent down from the Lords, intituled, An Act for the abrogating the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, and appointing other Oaths.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Dolben took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Dolben reports from the Committee of the whole House, That, they having proceeded in the further Consideration of the said Bill, they had made a considerable Progress therein; and that they had directed him to move the House, that they may sit again on Monday Morning, to go through the Bill.

Resolved, That this House do, on Monday Morning, at Ten of the Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed in the further Consideration of the said Bill.

Coronation Oath.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Miles Cooke and Mr. Methwin;

Mr. Speaker, We are commanded by the Lords to acquaint this House, that they have passed the Bill for establishing the Coronation Oath, without any Amendments.

And then the Messengers withdrew.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees be revived.

Rye Return amended.

The House being informed, that the Bailiff of the Town and Port of Rye, and the Clerk of the Crown attended at the Door, to amend the Return for the said Town and Port; they were called in: And the Bailiff amended the same accordingly, by razing out the Name of Thomas Frewen, Esquire, and inserting the Name of Sir John Austen, Baronet.

And then they withdrew.

And then Sir John Austen was introduced, according to the Order of the House.

Leave for Member to attend Lords as Counsel.

Ordered, That Mr. Finch have Leave to attend on Monday next, at the Bar of the House of Lords, as Counsel in a Cause between Foster and Foster.

And then the House adjourned until Monday Morning, Nine a Clock.
