Answer to Thanks.

SIR Hen. Capell acquaints the House, That he and the other Members of this House, that are of his Majesty's Privy Council, having waited upon his Majesty with the Thanks of this House, according to the Order of Monday last, his Majesty was thereupon pleased to declare to this Effect:

"That he was very glad whenever he said any thing, that it was to the Satisfaction of this House; that he would endeavour to do so always: And did desire, that this House would hasten those things which he had mentioned in his Speech."

The King's Speech considered.

Resolved, That this House do now resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to take into Consideration his Majesty's Speech.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Hamden took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Hamden reports from the Committee of the whole House, That, they having taken into Consideration his Majesty's Speech, they had agreed upon a Resolve to be reported to this House: Which-he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same was read; and is as follows:

The Convention declared to be the Parliament.

Resolved, That it is the Opinion of this Committee, that the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, now sitting at Westminster, are the Two-Houses of Parliament.

The said Resolve being read a Second time;

Resolved, That this House doth agree with the Committee, That the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, now sitting at Westminster, are the Two Houses of Parliament.

Preventing Disputes concerning this Parliament.

The ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, intituled, An Act for the removing and preventing all Questions and Disputes concerning the Assembling and Sitting of this present Parliament, was read a Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Mr. Hamden, Sir Tho. Lee, Sir Rich. Temple, Mr. Sacheverell, Sir Edw. Seymor, Sir Wm. Williams, Mr. Eyres, Mr. Paul Foley, Lord Colchester, Sir Edw. Harley, Sir John Guise, Mr. Herbert, Sir Geo. Treby, Mr. Comptroller, Sir Fra. Drake, Mr. Jepson, Sir Hen. Capell, Mr. Somers, Mr. Buscowen, Major Wildman, Mr. Papilion, Mr. Wharton, Sir Rob. Howard, Sir John Cotton, Mr. Foley, Mr. John Hamden, Mr. Bromley, Mr. Medlecott, Sir Christopher Musgrave, Mr. Wogan, Sir Jos. Tredenham, Major Manley, Sir John Holt, Mr. Vice Chamberlain, Mr. Hen. Pollexfen, Mr. Garway, Lord Falkland, Mr. Leveson Gower, Sir Rob. Napper, Mr. Windham, and all the Members of the Long Robe; or any Five of them: And that it be an Instruction to the Committee, to consider of such other Statutes as injoin the Members of either House to take the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, that the same, or such Parts thereof as are necessary to be repealed, may be repealed also: And they are to meet at Five of the Clock this Afternoon in the Speaker's Chamber.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Nine a Clock.
