Wye, &c. Navigation.
MR. Solicitor General reports from the Committee, to whom the Bill for making the Rivers of Wye and Lugg in the County of Hereford, navigable that the Committee had thought fit to make several Amendments to the Bill: which they had directed him to report to the House: But the House being informed, that since the Committee had agreed upon the Report, the Parties concerned are come to some Agreements, whereby there will be occasion to make several Variations in the Report;
Ordered, That the Bill be re-committed to the same Committee; and that they do meet this Afternoon, at Four of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.
Papists Benefices.
An ingrossed Bill sent down from the Lords, intituled, An Act to vest in the Two Universities the Presentations of Benefices belonging to Papists, was read.
Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.
Privilege- a person reprimanded and discharged.
A Petition of Stoner Crouch, in the Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending the House, was read; setting forth, That he, living distant from Sir John Doyley, did not know that he was a Member of the House, when the Declarations in Ejectment complained of were delivered; and, as soon as he did hear so, he told Sir John Doyley's Attorney, he would not be concerned further in the Matter; and was very sorry they were delivered through Ignorance: and praying to be discharged out of Custody.
Ordered, That the said Mr. Stoner Crouch be discharged out of Custody, paying his Fees.
And accordingly he was brought in; and, upon his Knees received a Reprimand from Mr. Speaker.
Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy.
Ordered, That Sir Edw. Harley, Sir John Jennings, Mr. Harley, Mr. White, be added to the Committee for inspecting the Bill of Oaths: And that they do meet this Afternoon, at Four of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.
Recovery of Tythes.
Ordered, That the Report from the Committee to whom the Bill for the more easy Recovery of small Tythes was referred, be made on Thursday Morning next.
Newcastle upon Tyne Court of Conscience.
Mr. Bickerstaffe reports from the Committee, to whom the Bill for establishing a Court of Conscience in the Town of Newcastle upon Tyne was referred, that the Committee had agreed upon several Amendments to be made to the Bill: Which he read in his Place, with the Coherence; and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were once read throughout; and afterwards, a Second time, one by one; and, upon the Question severally put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.
Ordered, That the Bill be ingrossed.
Exceptions in Bill of Indemnity, &c.
Then the Order of Wednesday last, for the further Proceeding on the Consideration of the Heads of Exceptions in the Bill of Indemnity, was read, and also, the Order for the last adjourned Debate, relating to the East India Company was read.
And the House being informed, that the Clerk of the Crown and Custos Brevium attended with the Records of the Judgments in Goodwin and Hales, and against Mr. Otes and Mr. Johnson; and Return of the Habeas Corpus relating to the Seven Bishops;
They were called in; and delivered Copies of those Records, as they were directed:
And then withdrew.
East India Company.
The House proceeded upon the adjourned Debate relating to the East India Company.
And the Question being put, that such Persons as procured the Commission to execute Martial Law in the Island of Sancta Hellena, and such as signed Instructions for putting the same in Execution, be excepted out of the Bill of Indemnity, as to those Crimes;
The previous Question was put, That that Question be now put:
And it was resolved in the Affirmative: Whereupon,

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Miles Cooke and Sir John Hoskyns;
Oaths taken by Officers in the Army.
Mr. Speaker, The Lords have passed a Bill, intituled, An Act to regulate the Administration of the Oaths required to be taken by Commission or Warrant Officers, employed in their Majesties Service by Land, by virtue of an Act made this present Session of Parliament, intituled, An Act for the Abrogating of the Oaths of Supremacy and Allegiance, and appointing other Oaths: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House.
Exporting Beer, &c.
Also, the Lords have agreed to the Bill for Exportation of Beer, Ale, Cyder, and Mum, without any Alteration.
And then the Messengers withdrew.
East India Trade.
Resolved, That the House do, on Friday next, at Ten of the Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the East India Trade, and how it may be settled to the best Advantage of this Nation.
Proceedings upon Conferences.
Ordered, That the Committee appointed to examine the Journals relating to the Proceedings upon Conferences, in Passing of Bills, do meet this Afternoon, and make their Report on Monday Morning next.
Exceptions in Bill of Indemnity.
Resolved, That the House do proceed in the further Consideration of the Heads of Exceptions in the Bill of Indemnity, on Tuesday Morning next.
And then the House adjourned till Monday Morning, Nine a Clock.
