King's Leave to treat of Revenue.

Mr. Vice Chamberlain reporteth, 1. That his Majesty doth thank the House for the Care of his Estate, and giveth Leave to enter into it : Desireth, the Committee for it may not be great, but select Persons, such as may not discover the Weakness of it. - That his Officers shall attend the Committee. That he desireth the Committee may first agree upon the Heads, and that he may be acquainted with them. -

Transporting Ordnance.

That, for the Transportation of Ordnance, the Lords of the Council being absolutely against it, that, upon Debate thereof, they were all turned in their Opinion. That the Committees may, before the Bill brought in, be acquainted with those Reasons ; that they may either be satisfied, or else what other Course they shall think fit. That none have been carried over sithence November last, nor any shall be whilst this Business is in Agitation.

Ordered, The Committee for the Bill shall hear the Reasons : And Mr. Vice Chamberlain, Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, and Mr. Chancellor of the Duchy, added to that Committee.

Chamberlain bringeth Answer from the Lords, that they accepted not a Conference, but a Meeting, at Two of the Clock this Afternoon, in the Painted Chamber, by a Committee of both Houses.

The Manner of Amplifying, or Aggravating, of the Charges. -

Sir D. Digges, in his Part, 1. Thanks to the Lords for their ready yielding: 2ly, To intimate, that nothing reflecteth upon the late, or now, King. - Resolved.

The Committees to have Liberty to leave the Proofs with the Lords, which they have digested in Calendars. - Resolved.

That the Parts of the Articles may be read, according to the Direction of the Charges, by One of the Assistants : and then every Man to amplify, and aggravate, that Part. - Resolved.

Ordered, That fit Places shall be left for these Eight, and their Sixteen Assistants, for their better Ease, and Honour of the House ; and Silence of all the House, without Expression of any Liking and Disliking.

The Titles, and marginal Additions, read, allowed, and to be left with the Lords this Afternoon.

Moved, we should move the Lords upon this, to sequester the Duke.

Moved again, to move a Commitment, not upon these Articles, but upon the Lord Digby his Petition, whereunto Articles are annexed, containing High Treason. - That the Earl of Bristoe (as opened in the House) doth charge him with High Treason. That, in the Duke of Suffolke's Case, 38 H. VI. no particular Charge expressed of any Crime. That, upon this Affirmation from the Earl of Bristow, we may pray, he may be committed. That the pressing of the Lords, from this House, is no Tax of their not doing their Duty. - Mortymer's Case, in 2o H. VI.
