Lord Russell to continue a Member.

Upon a Motion this Day made by Mr. Dalton on the Behalf of the Lord Russell, supposing, that he should not be continued a Member of this House, it is, nevertheless, generally Resolved by this House, That he may not be discharged of the same : Upon present Notice whereof given unto him by the Serjeant, the said Lord Russell came into this House accordingly.

Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer declaring the great Charges of the Queen's Majesty, many and sundry Ways, since her Entry to the Crown, as well in foreign as domestical Occasions, for the Benefit and peaceable Government of this State and Commonwealth, and the great imminent Necessity of present Provision to be had and made for the Continuance of the same, did, after many great and weighty Reasons shewed, move for a Subsidy: And thereupon were appointed, All the Privy Council being of this House, Mr. Captain of the Guard, the Master of the Requests, Sir Thoms. Scotte, Sir Rowlande Hayward, Sir Nichas. Arnolde, Sir Thoms. Shirley, Sir George Speake, Sir Henr. Lea, Sir Roble. Wingfield, Sir John Thynne, Sir George Turpyn, Sir Willm. Wynter, Sir Willm. Morgan, Mr. Edward Stanhopp, Mr. Edward Horsey, Mr. Recorder of London, Mr. Serjeant Lovelace, Mr. Sampole, Mr. Grymston, Mr. Moore, Mr. Popham,

Mr. Yelverton, and Mr. Hillyarde, to have Conference for Drawing of a Bill for a Subsidy; and to meet this Afternoon at the Star-chamber, or some other Place near unto it, at Three of the Clock.
