Plague.

THE Bill for the Charitable Relief and Ordering of Persons infected with the Plague: - First Reading.

Clothing.

The Bill to avoid all Deceits in Clothing, and in dying and dressing the same: - First Reading.

Recusants.

The Bill inhibiting all Persons, above the Age of Sixteen Years, from Restitution in Dignity and Blood, upon or after any Attainder of himself, or his or their Ancestors, that do not take the . . or is a Recusant convict; - First Reading.

Purveyors.

Sir Geo. Moore moveth, that the Matter of Purveyors may be on Friday, in open Parliament: And so, upon the Question, resolved.

Queen's Jointure.

The Queen's Attorney bringeth in the Bill for the Confirmation of the Queen's Jointure, from the Committees; and bringeth in a Saving to the Bill: Which was twice read, and ordered to be ingrossed ; and after, the third time read, and passed, upon the Question.

Privilege - Objectionable Publication.

Mr. Tey offereth to the Consideration of the House, Scandals, published in the Bishop of Bristoll's Book, touching the Union: Moveth, that he might . . called to the Bar: That, being a Member of the Higher House, a Message should be, to let the Lords of the Higher House know, how we take it, and to express our Griefs.

Sir Edw. Hobby: - The greatest Scandal, that ever he knew, saving Arthure Hall, 23 Eliz. - Wisheth, in Respect, a Message to be used to the Lords.

Message to Lords.

Sir Edw Hobby: - For so much as the Matter was of Weight, and that many being there, they feared to hinder the Service of the House; that therefore they would send some of their own down, to give Satisfaction to this House.

Statutes.

The Bill for making perpetual divers Statutes, and continuing, reviving, enlarging, and repealing, of divers others : - The first Reading.

Wards, &c.

Sir Edwyn Sandys moveth, that the House would be pleased to be prepared, touching the Directions and Purpose of proceeding, of the Committees, in the Matter of the Wards, and consider, if they thought fit to approve such as were set down; and desired, that the Clerk might read such, as he had brought there in Writing: Which was accordingly read by the Clerk, and approved.

The Directions here to be set down.

Mr. Parkinson moveth, that it might be foreseen, that a Course might be taken, that no new Tenures might be created hereafter.

Sir Rob. Wroth: - That it was impossible, that any Good could come of this Course for the Wards: He foresaw it; he knew it: But moved, that the King might be petitioned, that every Man, by his last Will and Testament, might dispose of his Child, paying the like Fine, &c.

Message from Lords.

Sir John Crook and Mr. D. Hone bring from the Lords a Message; That the Message from us, touching the Scandal, was so well, and so fully and feelingly delivered; and that they had the like Feeling; but, being not fully informed, coming unto them upon a sudden, they desired Respite till Monday, and then they would send Answer; to which End, they desired, the House would sit on Monday.

Answer.

The Answer was; In respect it had never been usual, that the Parliament on those Days did sit, many of the Members of the House gone home, and many were ready to go, which they hoped would return on Wednesday; and then they would sit and attend again.
