Sir Robert Johnson moveth, that the Statute of Labourers, . . Eliz. may be revived, stubborn and disobedient Servants provided for, and all the Defects of that
Statute considered on: Moveth, for a Committee: Which they would not yield unto; but, according to ancient Order, commanded the Mover to bring in a Bill.
King's Answer to Petition of Grievances.
Mr. Speaker publisheth, that the Clerk of the Higher House, by his Majesty's Commandment, had, the same Day, delivered a Memorial of the Grievances, in Answer of the Petition of Grievances, offered the last Parliament; with his Majesty's Pleasure, that it should be imparted to the House. Whereupon the House commanded, that it should be read: Which was done accordingly; and so left.
