The Bills touching Tanners, Curriers, Shoemakers, &c. thirdly read, and passed, with the Proviso offered by Mr. Hedley Yesterday.

Recusants.

Mr. Serjeant Shirley reporteth that Part of the last Conference with the Lords, which concerneth the Bill against Seminaries, Recusants, &c. and bringeth in the Amendments : Which were deferred to be put to the Question till To-morrow.

Feast at Merchant Taylors Hall.

This Day a solemn Feast was made at Merchant-taylors Hall ; which was first moved by Sir Edw. Hobby, and undertaken by Sir Tho. Ridgeway, Sir Herbert Crofts, Mr. Fuller, and others, to be performed. The Collection was made, 10s. a Gentleman, of 100; but at the Feast was Six Score and Twelve, or thereabouts. There were present, Mr. Speaker, Mr. Vice-chamberlain, and Mr. Secretary Herbert, with sundry other, of the best Note and Calling of the House; whereof Sir Tho. Ridgeway hath the Names. The Clerk, the Serjeant, and every Gentleman, had a Man allowed him. The King intended Two Bucks, but One came only, and One Hogshead of Wine. The Clerk presented the Feast with a March-pane, in Form of the Lower House of Parliament sitting.
