July 19. Royal warrant to the Clerk of the Signet for a privy seal to require the Treasury Lords to cause the two tallies representing the sum of 15,000l. (which was issued at the Exchequer, 1678–9, March 15, to Lemuel Kingdon as imprest for the Forces by two tallies on the Customs bearing date that day), to be delivered over by said Kingdon to the Auditor of the Receipt to be by him delivered over to Edward Seymour, Treasurer of the Navy, for the victualling thereof; the King thinking it more expedient that same should be so paid over for the Victualling: Seymour to be charged therewith and Kingdon to be discharged thereof.
