pay 8 per cent. annuities to the East India Company after deducting
so much as will clear said annuities to that time.

My Lord Treasurer has read your report on the petition of William
Emmett et al. concerning the costs of their prosecuting the assessors
and collectors of taxes for the parish of Bromley for several frauds.
What fines have been imposed on the offenders in consequence ?

Treasury reference to Mr. St. John and the Comptrollers of Army
Accounts of the petition of Col. John Hill in behalf of the Captains
of his Regiment (late Col. Stanhope's Regiment) praying remission
of 226l. 17s. 9d. charged upon them for transportation of said
Regiment from Ireland to Holland ; so as to enable them to recruit
their respective Companies. Reference Book VIII, p. 164.
Same to same of the petition of Col. Stanhope in behalf of
abovesaid Regiment, praying for remission of said sum "and that
they may be allowed complete, according to the Establishment, from
the time they were made prisoners in Portugal to the time they were
delivered over to Stewart's Regiment, which will enable the Captains
to complete their Companies." Ibid.
Same to Mr. Pauncefort of the petition of the clothiers of the
Forces in Portugal praying payment of the arrears due for offreckonings
of the said Forces to [enable them to] satisfy what is due
to petitioners for the said clothing. Ibid.
