Note.—The above account is the Cash Account of Prizes for the year June 1703—June 1704. The succeeding Roll No. 466 in Bundle 1816 of Declared Accounts (Audit Office) is the General Account as rendered by the Commissioners of Prizes. This account bears the same relationship to the Cash Account that the General Account of the Customs bears to the Cash account. But in the present instance the difference between the two accounts is too small to make it worth the cost of printing. The total charge in the General Account is 223,341l. 3s. 4¾d. and the total discharge is 233,180l. 5s. 5¼d. The list of prizes in the General Account includes the following prizes not entered in the Cash account, the reason for the omission in the Cash account being of course that condemnations or appraisals or sales were still incomplete so that no money had reached the Cashier from them.
