19. Angelo Acciaiolo to Francesco Sforza, Duke of Milan.
Your lordship will have heard by my letters of the 18th November how I arrived with the king and set forth my embassy. He said to me, We desire to do what we understand to be the pleasure of the duke and the Florentines, but we ask you to have patience. I asked him about England, if he thought peace would ensue. He replied that that rested with the English, who occupied his possessions wrongfully, and by God's grace he meant to have them back. As his Majesty says, the matter is a great one and worthy of consideration.
