Mandate to inform themselves, and send a report under seal to the pope, touching the rents and profits of the archbishopric of Tuam and of the bishopric of Kilmacduagh, which were so small that John XXII. united the sees, which union is now declared in papal consistory by the archbishop and chapter of Tuam to be so burdensome and expensive that the pope has been prayed to separate the said sees.

Mandate to summon the persons concerned, and to decide the case touching the will by which John de Grandissono, bishop of Exeter, was made the heir of his brother Peter, knight, of the diocese of Hereford. When Peter was at the point of death, some of those present brought in the will and incautiously opened it, believing that Peter wished to make some alteration, because he had said that with the assent of bishop John he would correct and altert it. No other will having been made, and the said will not having been altered, Peter died, whereupon John, bishop of Hereford, ordered all his goods to be sequestrated, and Henry de Shipton, archdeacon of Salop, with William de Penbrogge of the same diocese, and others, acting, as they said, on the authority of the bishop of Hereford, and without the knowledge of the bishop of Exeter, pronounced that Peter died intestate, and that the administration of his goods devolved upon the bishop of Hereford, the bishop of Exeter and other relations of Peter being excluded.
