Provision, at the request of Raimund, cardinal of New St. Mary's, of the canonry and prebend of Axford and Heydon in Salisbury, value 16l. which he obtained under a previous reservation, it being void by the death of John de Abindon at Marseilles, which is less than two days’ journey from the papal court at Avignon, the said John being uncertain whether he was not under sentence of excommunication when he accepted them, since he had borrowed 30 florins from Richard de Thormerton, and bound himself himself to repay them at Avignon, but had actually paid them to Richard's bailiff in his church in England. Logi is to be resigned.
