Award of Edward Beaupie, 'squier,' and Moris Mongomery, 'yoman ussher of my lorde prince's halle,' in a dispute between Hugh Lloid, of the lordship of Denbigh in the March of Wales, 'squier,' and Moris ap Jevan ap Tomlyn, alias Moris Hogton, brother of the said Hugh, 'of the Bala in Penllyn,' gentleman, concerning 'certain livelode of their enheritance' in Bala; viz. the said Hugh and Moris with advice of their friends are to make equal partition of the said 'livelode' by Michaelmas next, and each release to the other his share; and whereas it is in mortgage in the hands of Sir Roger Kynaston, knight, for 18l. Indenture whereby Sir Gilbert de Ellesfeld, knight, the elder, agrees with Sir Richard de Beaufo, knight, that the latter's son, John, shall marry Sir Gilbert's daughter, Eleyne, and Sir Richard shall enfeof one or two men in fee simple with the moiety of his manor of Noteshillyng, who shall appear at the octave of Michaelmas next in the king's court at the suit of Sir Richard by a writ of covenant, and by a fine to be levied between them Sir Richard shall acknowledge the right of the said moiety to belong to the one of them who shall be enfeoffed, who shall restore the said moiety to Sir Richard for life, with remainder to John and Eleyne in tail, and to Sir Richard's right heirs &c. Agreement whereby John de Soutford of Solihull grants to John de Blosmevile of the same, licence to construct a watercourse (gulteram) in the grantor's road at Hertispittes whenever he wishes to fish or dig marl there, the grantee undertaking to build a bridge over the said watercourse, so that carts and other weights may cross it safely and to dam up the said watercourse 'cum ibidem marliavero vel piscavero'; the said parties bind themselves to the king in 100s. each to observe this agreement. Certificate by Gilbert de Wyghtreshame, citizen and fishmonger of London, that whereas a verbal agreement (locutio) was lately made between Joan, late the wife of William de Wightreshame, and himself, viz. that the said Joan should demise to him all the lands in Wightreshame formerly the said William's, at a yearly rent of 30l. by virtue of which he has occupied the lands and received the rents as farmer up to the present without any indentures or other writing between them; he acknowledges that he never has claimed, nor does claim, other estate in the premises than at Joan's will, and he surrenders to her whatever of the premises he has in possession, agreeing never hereafter to make any claim thereto by reason of the demise or occupation aforesaid. 1 June, 45 Edward III. Indenture between Dame Jane Darell, late the wife of Sir George Darell, knight, and Edmund Lyte, witnessing that if the said Jane shall peaceably enjoy all the lands &c. which she has of the said Edmund's gift in Rygge, Teterygge and Froxfeld for the next five years, then she will pay to Thomas Bowryng and John Mychell 12l. 13s. 4d. to Edmund's use; but if she be troubled in the possession of the premises she shall be allowed such reasonable costs for defending the same at law as the said Thomas and John shall think fit, to the amount of the above sum &c. 20 November, 22 Edward IV.
