Release by John de Taseburg and Margaret his wife, to the abbot and convent of Geroudone, in frank almoin, of their right in land lying in Nether Cunesford extending from the King's highway to the bank (ripam) of Norwich. The said John and Margaret agree to make a good enclosure, at their own expense, between their land and that of the said monks, viz. from the highway to the King's water, with no opening for a door or window towards the land of the said monks to their injury; and should the said John and Margaret, or their heirs &c. at any time fail in making the enclosure, the monks shall have the right to enter upon and retain the said land and chattels found thereon until they obtain reparation, the said John and Margaret renouncing in this behalf all remedy and aid of the canon and civil law and chiefly the prohibition of the King.
