Memorandum, A Message delivered from the Lower House, by Mr. Comptroller and others, That the said House was not satisfied concerning the Proviso added by the Lords to the Bill, intituled, An Act for the better Observation of certain Orders in the Exchequer; and therefore desired Conference with some of their Lordships about the same. The Conference yielded unto, and appointed to be this Afternoon, at the Outward Chamber.
Auditors, etc.
The Bill, intituled, An Act for Reformation of Deceipts of certain Auditors, etc. returned to the House, with certain Provisos and Amendments; the Bill with the same forthwith Twice read, and thereupon Ordered to be ingrossed.
Grants to the Queen.
Upon Conference with the Lower House, concerning the Bill for Confirmation of Grants made to the Queen's Majesty, it was agreed by the Committees of both Houses, That certain Amendments and Provisos should be added to the said Bill, which were returned to the House presently, Twice read, and then commanded to be ingrossed; and thereupon the Bill itself, with the said Amendments and Provisos, read the Third Time, sent to the Lower House, for their Consideration of the same, by Mr. Attorney General and Mr. D. Stanhope.

Upon the Meeting this Afternoon with those of the Lower House appointed to confer with the Lords the Committees on the Bill, intituled, An Act for the better Observation of certain Orders in the Exchequer, etc. concerning a Proviso added by the Lords to that Bill; after some Debate by the Committees of both Parts thereupon, those of the Lower House did signify, That the said House would allow of the said Proviso, so as the same might be in some certain Point amended; whereupon Question grew between them, whether the said Amendment of the Proviso should be made in the Higher House (upon Notice given thereof by the Committees) and so be sent down again, or else be made in the Lower House; which Doubt being reported by the Lords Committees, and propounded to this House, it was Agreed, by common Consent, That the Amendments should be made in the Lower House, and sent up in Paper, and to be here inserted in the Body of the Proviso; which Order was, by the Lords the Committees (by Order and Appointment of the Court), signified to the Committees of the Lower House; and they thereunto assented.
Collection for the Poor.
Whereas it hath been accustomed, in former Parliaments, that, towards the End of the Parliament, a Collection should be made among the Lords, for the Poor; and it was this Day moved by the Lord Archbishop of Cant. that the like Collection might be made at this Time, it was, upon this Motion, Ordered by the House, That there should be such a Collection made accordingly; and that the Lord Bishop of Chichester, the Lord Bishop of Peterburgh, the Lord Zowche, and the Lord Riche, should be Collectors of the same, after such Rates as have been usually given and bestowed by the Lords, for the said charitable Purpose, in former Parliaments; and they to take Order for the Distribution of it.
