XVIII. Precept by King Robert III., authorizing a charter to be granted to the burgesses and community of Glasgow for keeping their market day on Monday instead of Sunday. 14 October 1397.

Precept under the privie seall be King Robert the third directed to the Bishop of St Andrews, chancellor for the tyme, for granting a charter under the great seall to the burgesses and communitie of Glasgow to keep their mercat day on Monday instead of Sunday. Dated the fourteenth day of October, and of his majesties rigne the seventh yeir, which wes the yeir of God 1397.
