Prayers.

Impeachment of Earl Arlington.

THE House then resumed the adjourned Debate of the Matter concerning the Earl of Arlington: And the Articles exhibited against him being again read; and the Debate thereupon had;

Resolved, &c. That the further Debate of the Matter concerning the Lord Arlington be adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Ten of the Clock.

Dover Election.

Sir Thomas Meeres reports from the Committee of Privileges and Elections, the State of the Case, and the Evidence therein, in the Election and Return for the Port of Dover, between Mr. Thomas Papillon and Sir Edward Spragg, lately deceased; and the Votes of the Committee passed thereupon; viz.

That Sir Edward Spragg was not well elected a Member of this Parliament, to serve for the Port of Dover.

That Mr. Thomas Papillon is well elected a Member of this Parliament, to serve for the Port of Dover.

Upon Debate of which Votes from the Committee;

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Committee.

Resolved, &c. That Sir Edward Spragg was not well elected a Member of this Parliament, to serve for the Port of Dover.

Resolved, &c. That Mr. Thomas Papillon is well elected a Member of this Parliament, to serve for the Port of Dover.

Ordered, That the Clerk of the Crown, and the Mayor of Dover, do attend To-morrow Morning, half an Hour after Nine of the Clock, to amend the Return for the Port of Dover.

A Complaint being made, of pressing Pilots and Seamen, to prevent their Votes; and other Miscarriages, committed in the Election for the Port of Dover;

Resolved, &c. That the House will, on Monday next, proceed in the Consideration of the Miscarriages upon the Election for the Port of Dover.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Nine of the Clock.
