Prayers.

Fee-farm Rents.

(fn. 1) [SIR Robert Steward reports from the Committee, to which the Bill for vesting some Fee-farm Rents, and other small Rents, in Trustees, was committed, some Amendments agreed to be made, and Clauses agreed to be made, Part of the Bill: Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed.

Another Clause was tendered; and twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed; and with the other Provisoes, agreed, ordered to be ingrossed; and the Bill, with the Amendments and Provisoes, to be read a Third time.

Naval Stores.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, intituled, An Act to revive an Act to prevent the Disturbances of Seamen, and others; and to preserve the Stores belonging to his Majesty's Navy Royal, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed to Sir Fresvile Hollis, Sir Thom. Allen, Mr. Musgrave, Sir John Talbott, Col. Sands, Sir Anth. Irby, Mr. Chalmondley, Sir Lancelot Lake, Sir Solom. Dover Pier.

Ordered, That Sir Edw. Deering and Sir Phillip Warwick, be added to the Committee to which the Bill concerning Dover Pier, is committed.

Wey Navigation.

An ingrossed Bill for settling and preserving the Navigation of the River Wey, in the County of Surrey, was read; and with some Amendments, upon the Question, agreed and made at the Table, was, upon the Question, passed; and ordered to be carried up to the Lords by Mr. Onslow.

Clarke's Estate.

Amendments to the Bill for settling of the Estate of Sir William Clarke, sent from the Lords, were twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed; and the Amendments ordered to be inserted, and the Bill returned to the Lords.

Buying and selling Cattle.

Amendments, sent from the Lords, to the Bill to prevent Frauds in Buying and Selling Cattle, were twice read; and all, but the Amendment to the Fourth Skin, Line Twenty-seventh, for leaving out from the Word "notwithstanding" to the Word "and," in the Fortythird Line, upon the Question, agreed.

Ordered, That Mr. Cheney, Sir Thom. Littleton, Sir Fran. Lawley, Sir Thom. Meeres, Sir Edm. Pooley, Sir Edw. Deering, Mr. Hampden, Sir Richard Temple, Mr. Whorwood, Sir Anthony Irby, Sir Robert Steward, be appointed to draw up Reasons to be used at a Conference to be had upon the Amendments to the Bill to prevent Frauds in the Buying and Selling of Cattle.

London Paving, &c.

Sir Robert Steward reports from the Committee, to which the Bill touching Pavements and Sewers, in the City of London, was committed, some Alterations and Amendments, agreed by the Committee, to be made to the said Bill: Which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: And the same, being twice read, were, upon the Question, severally agreed unto.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill, with the Amendments, be ingrossed.

Post Merediem.

Corn and Salt Measures.

AMENDMENTS, sent from the Lords, to the Bill, intituled, An additional Act for ascertaining the Measures of Corn and Salt, were twice read; and, upon the Question, severally agreed; and the Bill ordered to be returned to the Lords by Colonel Birch.

Lands at Portsmouth.

A Bill, sent from the Lords, for vesting and settling the Fee-simple of certain Lands in his Majesty, his Heirs and Successors, which have been taken into, and spoiled, by making new Fortifications about the Town of Portsmouth, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read a Second time.

The Bill, sent from the Lords, for vesting and settling certain Fee-farm Rents, and other small Rents, in Trustees, with the Amendments and Provisoes agreed to, were read the Third time; and agreed to; and, with the Bill, ordered to be returned to the Lords.

London Paving, &c.

The ingrossed Bill for the better Paving and Cleansing the Streets and Sewers in and about the City of London, was read.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for the better Paving and Cleansing the Streets and Sewers in and about the City of London: And Sir Robert Howard is to carry up the Bill to the Lords.

Reasons to be offered at Conference.

Sir Robert Howard reports from the Committee appointed to consider of Reasons to be used at the Conference to be had with the Lords, the said Reasons: Which he read, and opened to the House; and were approved of by the House.

Resolved, &c. That a Conference be desired with the Lords, upon the Subject Matter of the last Conference; and that Mr. Waller do carry up the Message to the Lords.

Conference.

Ordered, That the Managers of the aforesaid Conference to be had with the Lords, upon the Bill of Impositions on foreign Commodities, in their Reasons and Arguments, do insist upon the Rates of Impositions on merchandiseable Commodities; and that Impositions made by the Commons are not to be altered by the Lords.

Ordered, That the Report of the Bill concerning the Maintenance of the Ministers of London be made Tomorrow Morning.
