Prayers.

Tryal of Rioters at Canterbury.

ORDERED, That Mr. Archer and Mr. John Cooke, or one of them, be appointed and enjoined, in the place and stead of Mr. Steele and Mr. Parsons (being both sick), to prosecute the Tryal, and manage the Evidence, against the late Rioters in Canterbury.

Navy Loan.

Mr. Greene reports from the Committee of the Navy, the Answer of the Subscribers of Propositions touching the Loans of Monies for the Use of the Navy, to certain Propositions propounded unto them by the Committee of the Navy: The which Answer was read.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth approve of the Loan of Twenty thousand Pounds, by the present Commissioners of the Customs.

Ordered, That the Commissioners of the Customs do take good Security of the Collectors of the respective OutPorts, with the Approbation of the Committee of the Navy, for the due Payment of their Collections; and the Commissioners to make known to the Committee of the Navy any Default of the Collectors; and, in Default of their Discovery, to be liable to their Debt: And that it be referred to the Committee of the Navy, to put this Business in such a Way as they shall think fit, which may be most for the Advantage of the Kingdom.

Ordered, That the Committee of the Navy do proceed with diligence and Expedition, in the Reference formerly made unto them, touching the Reduction and Reformation of the Officers and Charge in the Collection and bringing in the Receipts of the Customs.

Duke of Yorke.

Ordered, That the Report concerning the Duke of Yorke, be made on Tuesday Morning next, peremptorily.

Money for Newcastle, &c.

Ordered, That the Ordinances for Money for Newcastle, Hull, and Scarborough, be read on Monday Morning next, the first Business.

Settling the Kingdom.

According to the Order Yesterday made, the House now proceeded in the Question then in Debate.

And the latter Part of the said Question was read; and passed, upon the Question, in hæc verba; viz. "for the making such further Proceedings thereupon, as shall be thought fit, for the speedy Settlement of the Peace of both Kingdoms, and Preservation of the Union, according to the Covenant and Treaties."

The whole Question, as it was proceeded upon in Parts Yesterday, and this Day, was read intirely, in hæc verba; viz.

Resolved, &c. That the Lords and Commons do declare, That they are fully resolved to maintain and preserve inviolably the Solemn League and Covenant, and the Treaties betwixt the Kingdoms of England and Scotland; and that they shall be ready to join with the Kingdom of Scotland in the Propositions agreed on by both Kingdoms, presented to the King at Hampton Court, for the making such further Proceedings thereupon, as shall be thought fit for the speedy Settlement of the Peace of both Kingdoms, and Preservation of the Union, according to the Covenant and Treaties.

Resolved, &c. That the Lords Concurrence be desired in this Vote.

Resolved, &c. That the Lords be desired, that this Vote may be sent to the Commissioners in Scotland; to be by them communicated to the Parliament of Scotland; or to the Committee or Convention of Estates, if the Parliament be not fitting.

Sir Harbottle Grimston carried these Votes to the Lords.

Ordered, That the Lords Concurrence be desired in the Vote lately passed, touching not altering the fundamental Government of the Kingdom by King, Lords, and Commons.

Sir Harbottle Grimston carried it to the Lords.

Religion.

Ordered, That the House do proceed in the Business concerning Religion, on Monday Morning next.

Answer from Lords.

Sir Harbottle Grimston brings Answer, That the Lords do agree to the Votes carried by him.

Lancasheire Forces.

A Report from the Committee at Derby House, concerning the Supernumeraries in Lancasheire, was read.

The Gentlemen of Lancasheire did affirm to the House, That they had engaged to the Officers and Soldiers of Lancasheire, that they should be paid in like Manner as other Supernumeraries of the Kingdom should be paid, upon their Disbanding.

It is Ordered, That the former Order, lately made, for Payment of Two Months Pay unto the Supernumeraries to be disbanded in Lancasheire, in like manner as to other Supernumeraries, be continued to the Committee of the Army.

Ordered, That the Committee at Derby House do take care to send to the Commissioners in Scotland the Votes this Day ordered by both Houses to be sent to them.

Goldsmiths Hall Reports.

Ordered, That the House do proceed in reading and receiving Reports from Goldsmiths Hall, every Morning till Ten of Clock, as formerly.

Deans and Chapters Lands.

Ordered, That Mr. Crewe do, on Monday next, when the House falls upon the Consideration of the Church Business, report the Ordinance touching the Disposal of Deans and Chapters Lands.

Cambridge University.

Ordered, That Mr. Boys and Mr. Gott be added to the Committee for Regulation of the University of Cambridge.

Transactions with Scottland.

Ordered, That, on Tuesday Morning next, the first Business, the last Letter and Papers from the Parliament of Scottland be taken into Consideration.

Report deferred.

Ordered, That Sir Gilbert Gerard do make his Report from the Committee at Derby House, on Tuesday Morning next.

Invalid Soldiers.

Ordered, That the Committee of the Revenue do, according to their former Order, forthwith pay the Two hundred Pounds formerly assigned for the maimed Soldiers that are necessary to go to the Bath for their Recovery: And that they do seize upon, and make Sale of, the Horses late belonging to the Duke of Yorke; and, out of the Proceed thereof, reimburse themselves the said Two hundred Pounds.

Delinquents Debts.

Ordered, That, on Thursday Morning next, the first Business, the Ordinance in Sir Harbottle Grimston's Hands, touching the Relief of such well-affected Creditors as have Debts owing them by Delinquents * * * *.

Ireland.

Ordered, That Mr. Annesley do, on Thursday Morning next, make Report of the Ordinance concerning Ireland.

Guilford Writ.

Ordered, That a Warrant do issue forth, under Mr. Speaker's Hand, directed to the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery, to issue forth a Writ, for the new Election of a Burgess to serve in this present Parliament, for the Town of Guilford in the County of Surrey, in the room and place of Mr. Stoughton, deceased, formerly chosen to serve as a Burgess for the said Town.
