PRAYERS.
Trial of E. of Straford.
SIR Tho. Barrington is appointed to go up to the Lords, to desire a Conference, by a Committee of both Houses, concerning the Trial of the Earl of Straford.
This House doth conceive, that the Examination of the Lord Primate of Ireland, already taken, is not to be used; in regard none of the Members of this House were present at the Taking of it; but the Examination of him, provided that some of the Committee appointed to manage the Evidence at the Trial be present thereat, this House will not oppose it; saving their own Rights: And, in like Cases, the House leaves it to the Committee to proceed in such Manner, as they shall think agreeable to Law and Justice.
This to be the Subject of the Conference: And Mr. Whittlock is to manage it.
Sir Tho. Barrington brings Answer that their Lordships will give a Meeting presently, by a Committee of the whole House, as is desired.
Leave of Absence.
Mr. Fra. Godolphin, of Trevenegne, has Leave to be absent for some Time.
Conference.
Mr. Whittlock acquaints the House, that he had, according to their Commands, delivered to the Lords, at a Committee, the Substance of That he was intrusted withal.

Ordered, That the first Business, that shall be taken into Consideration, at the next Sitting of the House, shall be the Motion, this Day made, concerning a short Bill to be drawn for the Taking of the Subsidy of Tonage and Poundage, de bene esse, for Three Months.
Leave of Absence.
