PRAYERS.

Leave of Absence.

SIR Wm. Dalston has Leave to be absent for a Week, or thereabouts.

Non-attendance of Members.

Ordered, That all the Members of this House, that shall come to the House after Eight of Clock, shall pay Twelve-pence, (except it shall appear unto the House, that they are employed in the Service of the House) to be disposed of, as this House shall think fit; and the Serjeant is to gather this Money: And, if any Member shall forbear to come for the whole Day, he shall pay Five Shillings, unless he have Licence from this House, or be sick, or be in the Service of the House.

Leave of Absence.

Mr. Evelyn has Leave to be absent for Four or Five Days.

Continuing Statutes.

1A vice lecta est Bill, An Act for the Continuance of divers Statutes.

Bishops Secular Affairs.

3A vice lecta est Billa, An Act to restrain Bishops, and others in Holy Orders, from intermeddling with Secular Affairs; upon Question, passed.

Subsidies.

Ordered, That Mr. Selden, Mr. Whitlocke, Mr. Glyn, and Serjeant Wilde retire into the Committee-chamber, to insert a Clause into the Bill of Subsidies, that neither Passing of that Bill, nor any other, shall determine this Session of Parliament.

Turkish Pirates.

An Act for the Suppressing and Destroying of all Turkish, Moorish, and other Pirates.

Bishops, &c. Secular Affairs.

An Act for to restrain Bishops, and others in Holy Orders, to intermeddle with Secular Affairs.

Mr. Goodwin carried up these Two Bills to the Lords.

Committees.

Ordered, That all those Committees, that should have sat Yesterday, and are not adjourned, do meet this Afternoon, at Two of Clock, in their usual Places.

Preserving Timber-trees.

Instructions for the Preservation of Timber-trees, were read; and

Ordered, That Mr. Treasurer shall have a Copy of the Instructions, reported from the Committee for the Forest; and present them to his Majesty; with a Desire from this House, that Commissions may issue forth, according to these Instructions.

Ordered, That Sir Bayneham Throgmorton, and the rest of the Prosecutors, shall be at the present Charge; and shall be reimbursed their Charges, in such Manner as the House shall think fit, after the Execution of the said Commission.

And it is further Ordered, That Sir John Winter, and Sir Bayneham Throckmorton, and the rest of the Farmers, their Agents, Servants, and Workmen, shall be inhibited to fell any Trees, until the Cause shall receive a Determination: And that the Timber and Trees, which are already cut, shall not be carried away, till they be viewed by the Commissioners appointed by this House; that such, as shall appear to be Timber, may be reserved.

Ordered, That the Committee for the Forest sit on Monday next at Two of Clock, in the Court of Wards.

Loan from the City.

Ordered, That those Gentlemen, that serve for the City of London, shall, from this House, repair to the Lord Mayor, and let him know, that it is the Desire of this House, that the One Hundred and Twenty-thousand Pounds, promised to be lent by the Committee, may, with all Speed, be paid into the Chamber of London, to the end that, when the Bill of Subsidies shall be passed, it may there be ready, to be employed as this House shall think fit.

House to return.

Ordered, That the House shall return, so soon as they shall have attended his Majesty in the House of Peers.

Message to attend the King.

The Gentlemen Usher of the Lords House came, and acquainted the House that his Majesty's Pleasure is, that the House of Commons presently attend his Majesty in the House of Peers.

The House to sit on Monday Morning at Eight of the Clock.
