Prayers.

ANTHONY Marie de la Croze took the Oaths appointed, in order to his Naturalization.

Surgeons to administer Medicines.

Ordered, That the Company of Apothecaries be heard, at the Bar of this House upon Tuesday Morning next, against the Bill, for enabling Surgeons to administer internal Medicines in Cases of Surgery.

Cooke's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act for enabling of Trustees to sell certain Lands of Richard Cooke, deceased, to pay Debts, and raise a Portion for his Daughter, was read the Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Sir Sam. Bernadiston, Mr. Bowyer, Sir Jerv. Elwes, Sir Edw. Aiscough, Mr. Christie, Mr. Slaughter, Sir Jon. Jennings, Mr. Arnold, Major Vincent, Sir Tho. Bernadiston, Mr. Cooke, Mr. Brownlow, Mr. Blowfeild, Mr. Onslow, Mr. Hawtry, Mr. Henley, Sir Rob. Rich, and all the Members that serve for the Counties of Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, and Kent: And they are to meet this Afternoon, at Four of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Preventing Robberies.

A Bill for the better securing the King's Highways from Robbers, and for Satisfying of Persons robbed, was read the First time.

T. Williams' Estate.

An ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act for raising Money out of the Estate of Thomas Williams, Esquire, deceased, by letting Leases, and otherwise, for the more speedy Payment of his Debts, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Reversing Judgment against Arnold.

Ordered, That the Bill for reversing a Judgment given against John Arnold, Esquire, in the King's Bench, be read on Monday Morning next.

A Member to attend Lords.

Ordered, That Sir Cha. Porter have Leave to attend the Lords, as Counsel in a Cause between Framling and Joknson.

Annulling certain Letters Patents.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Miles Cooke and Doctor Edisbury;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have passed a Bill, intituled, An Act for making void certain Letters Patents therein mentioned: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

And then the Messengers withdrew.

Aulnage Duty.

A Bill for transferring the Duty and Subsidy of Aulnage to the Custom-house, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Making Militia useful.

Sir Walter Young reports from the Committee to whom it was referred to prepare a Bill for regulating and making the Militia of this Kingdom more useful, That they had prepared the Bill accordingly: And he presented the same to the House: And it was received.

Ordered, That the Bill be read on Monday Morning next, at Ten of the Clock.

Serle's Estate.

Ordered, That the ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act for selling the Estate of Henry Serle, Esquire, deceased, be read a Second time upon Monday Morning next.

Wye and Lugg Navigation.

Ordered, That Mr. Brewer, Mr. Norreis, Mr. Hawtry, Sir Rob. Cotton, Mr. Piggot, Mr. Palmes, be added to the Committee to whom the Bill for the more effectual making the Rivers of Wye and Lugg navigable, is committed.

Bernardiston's Estate.

Ordered, That Mr. Price, Lord Falkland, Mr. Bickerstaffe, Mr. Gwyn, Sir Tho. Darcye, Mr. Leving, Mr. Cooke, Sir Tho. Bernadiston, Sir Christopher Musgrave, be added to the Committee to whom the Bill concerning Sir Samuell Bernardiston, is committed.

Hildyard's Estate.

Ordered, That Sir Tho. Travell, Sir John Fagg, Mr. Travers, Mr. Fagg, Mr. Parkhurst, Sir Rich. Onslow, Sir Fran, Massam, Mr. Lewknor, Mr. Price, Mr. Granvile, Mr. Foot Onslow, Mr. Browne, Mr. Hillersden, Sir Jerv. Elwes, Sir Tho. Bernadiston, be added to the Committee to whom the Bill for enabling Philip Hildyard, Esquire, to sell Lands in Surrey, and to settle Lands in Lincolnshire, in lieu thereof, is committed.

Attainting Persons in Rebellion.

A Motion being made, and the Question being proposed, That it be an Instruction to the Committee appointed to prepare the Bill for attainting the Persons that are or have been in Rebellion in England or Ireland; and for confiscating their Estates; and for applying the same to bear the Charge of the War; upon the Debate of the House; That the Bill do not extend to the Protestants that were Inhabitants or Proprietors in the Kingdom of Ireland, within a Time to be limited by this House, except such Protestants as have borne Arms in the Army, by Commission under the late King James, within a Time to be likewise limited by this House.

An Amendment was proposed to be made to the Question, by adding thereunto these Words, "and except such as have acted in the Civil Government by Commission under the said late King James, since the Eighth Day of July 1690."

And the Question being put, That the said Amendment be made;

Vexatious Suits for acting in Defence of the Kingdom.

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have passed a Bill, intituled, An Act for the better enabling Jane Bray, Relict and sole Executor of the last Will and Testament of Reignald Bray, Esquire, deceased, and others, to the speedier Raising of the Portions, already appointed for her Daughters, by the said Reignald Bray; to which they desire the Concurrence of this House: And also an Act for preventing vexatious Suits against such as acted for their Majesties Service in Defence of the Kingdom; to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

And then the Messengers withdrew.

Ordered, That all Committees be revived.

And then the House adjourned till Monday Morning, Eight a Clock.
