Witnesses to be summoned.

ORDERED, That Mr. Speaker do grant his Warrant for the summoning Witnesses to attend at the hearing the Matter upon the Petition of Eliz. Martha, and Grace, and Sarah Colson, at the Bar of this House, upon Wednesday Morning next.

Westminster, &c. Courts of Conscience.

A Petition of the Lady Rachel Russell, was read; setting forth, That the Petitioner is seized of the Manors of St. Giles's and Bloomsberry in Com' Middlesex, to the Courts of which Manors the Tenants and Inhabitants, residing within the same, owe, by their Tenure, Suit and Service; from whence divers Profits and Advantages do accrue to the Petitioner: And that she is informed there is a Bill depending in this House, erecting a Court of Conscience within the Precincts of her said Manors: And that she believes, and is advised, that if the same be erected, will very much lessen, if not totally take away, the Profits arising from her said Courts, and the Suit of her said Tenants: And that it is not agreeable with the Justice of the House, to prejudice or dispose of any Subject's Estate, without consent or Hearing the same: And praying to be heard at the Bar, to shew Cause, Why the said Bill should not pass.

Ordered, That the said Petition do lie upon the Table until the said Bill be read a Second time.

Resolved, That Mr. Attorney General do, upon Thursday next, bring in a Bill of Indemnity.

Supply.

Then the Order of the Twenty-fourth Day of October last, for the House to resolve into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Motion then made for a Supply to be given to his Majesty, was read.

And Sir Henry Capell presented to the House, Two Accounts of the Monies arising by the Revenue, and of the Monies issued thereout by way of Imprest; viz. One from the Twenty-eighth of December 1688, to the Twenty-fourth of June 1689: The other from the Twenty-fourth of June to the Twenty-ninth of September 1689.

And the Earl of Ranelagh presented to the House, the State of the War for the ensuing Year, as to the Land Forces; viz.

For the English Forces in England:

For the Dutch Forces in England:

For the English Forces in Holland; and

For the Forces in Ireland:

All which, he said, he delivered by his Majesty's Command.

And Sir Thomas Lee presented to the House, a State of the Navy for the ensuing Year.

And Sir Henry Goodrick presented to the House, a State as to the Ordnance.

All which States, or Accompts, were read.

War Expences.

Resolved, That a Committee be appointed to inspect the Expences of the War the last Year; and to make their Report to the House.

Miscarriages of the War.

Resolved, Nemine contradicente, That a Committee be appointed to examine, By what means the Intelligence came to be given to their Majesties Enemies, concerning the several Stations of Winter Guards of their Majesties Navy; and likewise into the Miscarriages in the Victualing of the Navy; and the Transportation of the Army; and all other Things relating to the War, both by Sea and Land, the last Year.
