Sigar
First preb. in cats., 'Sigarus'. Not otherwise known. Presum. not to be identified with 'Suiudegarus sacerdos', who occ. [c. 1108 × Apr. 1138] (WD 4 fo. 17/21r-v, pd. in Rep. p. 61a-b), (fn. 2) because prob. had been succeeded in preb. by 1104/5 (see below).
Anger
Occ. in cats. between Sigar and Audoen, 'Angerus [Augerus, Cat. II] pater Turstini archiepiscopi'. Prob. to be identified with Ansger, who occ. as can. and pr. 1104/5 (WD 4 fo. 19/23r-v, pd. in Rep. p. 61b). Possibly also to be identified with Ansger, chapl. of king William II, who occ. 27 Jan. 1091 (Regesta I no. 315) and [1089 × 93] (ibid. II 399, no. 314c). Father of Audoen, his successor in this preb. (see below), and of Thurstan, preb. of Consumpta and abp. of York.
Audoen
Occ. in cats. between Anger and Hubert Vacca, 'Audoenus frater archiepiscopi'. Does not occ. as can. Occ. as chapl. of king Henry I [1105, Feb.] (Regesta II no. 684), [1103 × 31 July 1106] (ibid. no. 690, and cf. no. 778*), [1107, 1 Aug.] (ibid. no. 828). El. bp. of Evreux 1113 (Orderici Vitalis Historiae Ecclesiasticae, ed. A. Le Prévost (Paris, 1838-55) IV 301), d. 2 July 1139 (ibid. v 118-19). Son of Anger (see above), and brother of Thurstan, preb. of Consumpta and abp. of York.
Hubert Vacca (fn. 3)
Occ. in cats. between Audoen and Henry of Northampton, 'Hubertus Vacca'. First certain occ. as can. 1132/3 (WD 4 fo. 53/57r-v, pd. in Rep. p. 67b), but prob. can. on earlier occ., 1115/16 (A/24/1478 and WD 4 fos. 19/23v-20/24r, pd. in Rep. pp. 61b- 62a). Last occ. [March 1157 × May 1162] (A/28/273, cal. in Rep. pp. 31b-32a). (fn. 4) Called Hubert, without surname, in these and all other occs., but presum. identical with Hubert Vacca of prebendal cats., because no other known Hubert in St. Paul's chapter in twelfth century.
M. Henry of Northampton (fn. 5)
Occ. in cats. between Hubert Vacca and Richard of Ely, 'Henricus de Norhamton' '. First occ. as can. before 1174 (A/23/1721, pd. in Rep. p. 24a-b). (fn. 6) Last occ. 2 Aug. 1191 (Chrons. of Ric. I, ed. W. Stubbs (Rolls ser. xxxviii) II 343), and c. 1192 (D.S.R. I; cf. Richard of Ely, below). Commem. 2 Apr. (Obit. I fo. IIV). So presum. d. Apr. 1192 (see G.F. pp. 282-3).
Richard of Ely
Occ. in cats. between Henry of Northampton and Peter of Ste.-Mère-Eglise, 'Ricardus de Ely'. Does not occ. as can., but archdcn. of Colchester from c. 1192 (D.S.R. II) to d. between Dec. 1213 and Oct. 1217.
Peter of Ste.-Mère-Eglise (fn. 7)
Occ. in cats. between Richard of Ely and William de Fauconberg, 'Petrus thesaurarius'. Does not occ. as can., but treas. from before May 1212, to d. in Apr. 1227 or Apr. 1228. Presum. transf. to this preb. from preb. of Mora before July 1214.

Occ. in cats. between Peter of Ste.-Mère-Eglise and William de Ralegh, 'Willelmus de Faucunberge thesaurarius' (Cat. I), 'Willelmus Faukunb' ' (Cat. II). Does not occ. as can., but treas. from before Oct. 1228, to after Nov. 1229.
William de Ralegh
Occ. in cats. between William de Fauconberg and Roger de Cantilupe, 'Willelmus de Ralegh'. Occ. as can. once only, 19 Nov. 1237 (Chron. Maj. III 417); but occ. at St. Paul's, as treas. of Exeter, [Nov. 1229 × Sept. 1239] (Gibbs no. 300). Bp. of Norwich, el. Apr., cons. Sept. 1239.
M. Roger de Cantilupe (fn. 8)
Occ. in cats. between William de Ralegh and Walter of Merton, 'Rogerus de Canthelup [Cantelupo, Cat. II]'. First occ. as can. 4 Feb. 1240 (Reg. Greg. IX no. 5055). Last occ. as can. 24 Nov. 1248 (Chron. Maj. VI 151), but still alive 30 May 1258 (C.P.R. 1247-58 p. 632). D. as preb. by 15 June 1259 (C.P.R. 1258-66 p. 28).
Walter of Merton (fn. 9)
Occ. in cats. between Roger de Cantilupe and Antony de Camille, 'Walterus de Mertone'. Royal gr. of preb. in succession to Roger de Cantilupe, 15 June 1259 (C.P.R. 1258-66 p. 28). Res. this preb. by 6 Oct. 1262, when granted preb. of Finsbury (C.P.R. 1266-72 p. 732).
Ralph de Montibus
Does not occ. in cats. Royal gr. of preb. in succession to Walter of Merton, 12 Oct. 1262 (C.P.R. 1266-72 p. 735). Occ., possibly as can., 18 July 1267 (ibid. p. 89).
William de La Leya
Does not occ. in cats. Occ. this preb. c. 24 June 1272 (WD 19 fo. 16a). Res. a church in Lincoln dioc. before 18 June 1272 (Rot. Gravesend p. 173).
Antony de Camille

Henry de Bluntesdon
